Bonus heals vs. mp5

As a healer I am often faced when equipting (spelling?) gear with the choice to lose some mp5 for bonus heals and vice versa. What is the math for determining bonus heals' mp5 equivalent. In other words is there a constant where 'x' bonus heals = 'y' mp5?

I am wonder about this as well, I play a paladin. Also which is more important crit or +heal.
+Heal. Pre-Illumination nerf, Spell Crit was highly valuable to the Paladin, hence all the Spell Crit on the sets. Since the nerf, plenty of math and theorycrafting has put +Heal, Mp5 and even Int above Spell Crit.

Ok my bad it was pretty late. I am a paladin. Lvl 70. Current bonus heal = 1730. Balance is a nice answer. Yet, seems incomplete. Sometimes it seems as though, "well if I have more heal per cast I wont need to generate as much mana per encounter" which probably works in actuality better in 5 mans than in raids where you can't hide behind your other healers. In raids mabe i just have to look good and not over heal. I just don't know. Maybe there is no real answer here. Also I think I oput this in the wrong catagory. I will ask again in the class forums for paladin.

Stack +healing and drink more mana potions.
All these comparisons between stats vary wildly depending on where in the game you are. In endgame you are expected to chain drink mana potions from the moment you get the full mana benefit from one, you can count on getting a shadowpriest in very healing intense fights such as Gurtogg Bloodboil, and the single biggest worry you have is putting out enough healing per second.
Your level of play affects the gear that is available which affects what stat combinations that are effective. Paladins, for example, can still stack spellcrit for BOTH mana return and healing per second but it requires a high level of gear to be effective since you need to have a decent amount of +healing and +mp5 to begin with, and on top of that a good chunk of spellcrit for it to be noticable.
