The cap is 26 and its one of the most important things you can do as a raider, maintaining hit / expertise cap makes about a 1500 dps difference for me most of the time.
agreed it is one of the most important stats. however, not 1500 dps loss on most fights.
XT is a gimmick fight so most dmg is scaled way higher than normal.
i dont suggesting gemming for exp, as most end game gear would let u hit the exp cap.
if ur really far, try to use the ony sword for exp.
from a pure stat weighing stand point, 1 str > 1 exp.

the reason why he could pull ~11k on XT is because its a gimmick fight.
if your raid dps is good and ur not doing HM, u can get the majority of the fight time to be on the heart phase, which takes double dmg.
plus XT is not very movement intensive. only time u move is when u get light/gravity bomb, which isnt very often, 0~2 times per fight.

Yes. Neomasterc is correct. If you don't already know, XT's fight is as unreliable as Thaddius for reporting DPS.
Expertise is very useful for a Blood DK, as it is for all melee classes, however,
a Blood DK should never gem/enchant for Expertise over Strength or AP/2.
The occasional miss is less important than hitting really, really hard.
As DPS, the expertise cap is 5%. Just check your character sheet to see where you stand.
And to answer Abusedbywow, Blood boil is Blood-spec's quintessential AoE. It is rarely as good as a Heart strike, however in very large AoE pulls (Onyxia drakelings come to mind) smearing both plagues around via Pestilence and spamming Blood boil results in exceptional results. I've pushed myself into the 6k mark for the entire fight
as a tank
because of Blood boil.
