I don't want another run-of-the-mill MMO. I want something completely new.

While I appreciate the work you've put into the post, changing the name of a class doesn't make it fundamentally different, nor will anything less that a complete innovation in the MMO world make me interested.
How about a forum based MMO? You start off in a small community forum with a low post count, and through a clever system involving ranking up with each good post you make, you move onto Wowhead randomness. It's at this point you have to make the game altering decision - Are you an athiest or are you religious? Then, after battling the opposing faction and reaching a post count of 10,000, you get imbued with the power of the mod. Equipped with your mighty ban-hammer and knowledge of memes, you scour the forums dealing out retribution on the unworthy. Once you are acknowledged in at least 3 poems by Hyperspacerebel, you move on to the games final tier of difficulty..... /b/
Proffesions include Signature Crafting, Icon Rating and Meme-forcing.
I'm scared of /b/; I'm worried I'll get hacked. My friend got hacked the other day, apparently whatever it was, when he booted up his computer it would immediately load up frogger, and whenever he died his computer would lock up. If my computer got ****ed like that I would likely go insane.

First of all, I would like to state that although an ass, that is a very creative hacker.
Second of all, the original idea
needs
to happen.

Forum-based MMO done already.
Several times actually, I think.

Your friend is either really really dumb or lying.
Or you're lying.

Yeahhhhh
, call me strange, but I think I was joking.
That's a pity, because said MMOs have turned out quite profitable in the past.
