i have the same problem but what i do is use Challenging Shout and usualy there all on you then but be warned the ghouls need to be dpsed down before phase three. (to those who've never done ToC the last boss has not 1, not 2 but 3 phases.) Anyway heres alittle tip here.
Phase one: tank and Spank
Phase 2: AoE ghouls tank use challenging shout to gather the ghouls.
Phase 3: Tank and spank, boss applies debuff Uber leet heals required.

This fight is really simple on heroic or non. I've done it with just about every group imaginable. Heroic throw the dk......thunderclap, shockwave, cleave......move out of his death and decay, rinse and repeat, by this time most of the adds should be down, unless you have terrible dps. That maybe your problem and maybe you should not be focusing on yourself and maybe re-think the dps you have in your group.

This makes it really easy if you have a Dk with you. Right when phase 2 starts have the Dk summon army of the dead, then just kite the boss out of the adds, and burn him down. The army will keep all adds away from party members.

They're not tankable, every few seconds they drop all threat and gain 1M threat with a random group member. Best thing you can do is wait until there's havoc, use challenging shout. As it's about to wear off, use shockwave. Should give everyone plenty of time away from the ghouls.

There are 3 easy steps to get this through.
1. Toss Aoe taunt and thunderclap
2. Line them up and let lost a shockwave (or improved blizzard if you have mage), meanwhile, DPS should brust all their AoE on ghouls.
3. Single target taunt the boss and move away from ghouls.
By completeing such, you and your party can deal with that skeleton, ghouls-free.

Do you know what the range on Challenging Shout is? Do you know what the range on Thunderclap is (with minor glyph)?
There's no reason to Challenging Shout right off the bat. Just thunderclap.
I dunno, I've never had a big problem with Phase 2. Make sure everyone is within 10 yards of you, wait for them to all pop up, Thunderclap and start Kiting.
Now if you have a mage standing 30 yards away at your 6 o'clock, your healer at your 9 at 30 yards, and a hunter over on the other side... yeah, the adds are going to go everywhere. Tell your group to be smarter.
