upon further inspection of your suggested specc, i think i was a bit too brief before.
Improved Healthstone is not that great compared to the increase in DPS you would see putting the points elsewhere, and warlocks that go Destruction are likely to drop some points there, so they can provide the improved stones.
Improved Curse of Agony is not a useful raiding talent since you will seldom use that curse. You'd be better off stacking spellhit than putting points in Suppression since it does nothing for your Shadow Bolt.
Other than that, looks good. Good luck.
Improved Drain Soul will allow you to do much more damage because you won't be held back by aggro so soon. Fel Concentration isn't necessary for raiding, but you will find it very challenging to kill anything when soloing as affliction without the talent. Even as a raider you will need to do dailies and farm for gold. Nightfall is a core Affliction talent and you should ALWAYS max it out.
Agree with some of this, disagree with some.
He just hit 70. Not likely he has enough spell hit to ditch supression (202 spell hit to ditch it completely). So for now, he needs it.
I agree that you don't really need 2/2 imp HS in raids, and Destructive Reach is a luxury.
You DO need imp Drain Soul for the threat reduction.
You DO need 2/2 Nightfall.
You do need imp Curse of Agony because in Kara your raid will not always have shadow priests and other warlocks in the grp. If it doesn't DO NOT cast curse of shadows simply for your own benefit. You'd need to be doing 1000+ dps total for CoShadows to do more dmg than imp CoAgony. You'd need 3 mages with good dps for Curse of Elements to be worth more, and as such, unless you always raid Kara with a big bunch of mages, Malediction is wasted points. In 25 man raids you will likely have a shadow priest and some mages and other locks, but it's always worth considering whether CoShadows/CoElements will be better cast by a lock who isn't Affliction spec (and it usually is) and you cast CoA.
I personally couldn't live without Fel concentration, but then i pve, farm and pvp in equal measure, so it's up to you really.
Also - curse of exhaustion is an essential pvp talent. not needed if you only raid.

that said, the highest dps warlock spec is undoubtably

the down side is that you need a lot of shadow damage and at least 25% crit to make it work well. being hit capped is an obvious.
you need tier 5/6 to make that specc more DPS than affliction.

From raiding, this is what I've always used, and never been wanting for dps, even when outgeared by others.
Destruction:

For places where they *really* need another improved imp, you have that. Otherwise, you're just saccing the imp to get more +fire dmg. You're a mage w/ unlimited mana (provided your guild realizes you need some hot's when you start life tapping). As stated before, you need atleast 25% crit however. Soulshard free build is kinda nice though.
Affliction:

Few points to play around with, but when I was affliction, i was also put on Improved 2/2 Healthstone for soulwells. Amp Curse (before fight pulled) -> UA -> CoA -> Shadow Bolt -> Corruption -> Shadow Bolt -> Siphon Life. Keep shadow bolting then dotting. Dark Pact w/ the imp out = win, and even life tapping. You never run out of mana, or go below 70% unless you get life tap happy. Just remember to un-phase the imp so he gets all the buffs too (the extra mana / Blessing of Wisdom really helps).
those were the 2 i used a lot, not too sure about demo. But a friend of mine does a destruction / demo build that uses Shadow Bolts instead of Immolate / Incinerate / Conflag and has screen shots of 10k shadow bolt crits. If i remember right, they're fairly buffed out etc, but it's possible once you get up there in gear.

very true. a huge number of you shadowbolts would need to crit to get more dmg than UA grinding away constantly. Also - i think even for raiding spend 2 points in imp Howl. Adds need to be feared on some bosses and feared quickly.

Rosiel, if you're claiming that Demon Aegis is better than Imp. Shadow Bolt and Bane, I'd like some of what you are smoking. :) If you put all the Demonology points apart from Imp. Imp into other trees you also get a choice between either four points into Devestation or one point into Devestation and the more PvP oriented Amplify Curse, Curse of Exhaustion (can be useful in PvE as well, say on Vashj) and Shadowburn.
