You are looking for slow MH and OF due to the changes made to Whirlwind.
-If you are Aldor, go get Vindicator's Brand:

-If you are a Blacksmith, craft the Drakefist:
http://www.wowhead.com/?item=28437
In instances, you can get :
-Reflex Blades:
http://www.wowhead.com/?item=28392
-Edge of the Cosmos:
http://www.wowhead.com/?item=28267
The list could be longer, those are simply my favorites.
But for a no-brainer OH, go PVP and get a S1 weapon. ( or simply go get both of your weapons from S1 gear ).

Let's say you got 2 weapons of the same damage per second but with differents speeds. The fast one while hit often but will deal less damage and the slow one will hit harder but less often.
If you only hit a mob without using special abilities, you'll probably deal the same damage with both weapons.
BUT, many melee habilities ( including WW ) are instant attacks that you lauch between your normal swings. The damage of these attacks are based on the damage range of the weapon you are wielding. Since the slower weapon got a bigger damage range, you deal more damage with your special habilities wih it.

"the same damage
over time
with both weapons"
many melee habilities ( including WW ) are instant attacks that you lauch between your normal swings. The damage of these attacks are based on the damage range of the weapon you are wielding.
The damage for special attacks, such as Whirlwind, are normalized.
What this means is that when calculating the Attack Power bonus portion of the damage formula the speed of both weapons are set to a static value. Speeds slower than the normalized values will still benefit overall in the other half of the formula.
This means you should generally use weapons equal to or slower than the normalized speed (in order to maximize damage output).
The normalization values for one-handed weapons are set to 2.4 seconds while daggers are 1.7 seconds.

I Still like to DW 2 2.6 speed weapons. one from the last boss in KAra and the other from the first boss in ZA.
the only difference in fast and slow OH is fast gives you a more constant rage gain whereas slow will give you spikes of rage but give the same rage over time.

Oke i also understand what you all mean, but.........
If you Miss (the change is always there) with a 2H, than you will get only 1 attack in like 7 seconds.
If you miss with a 1H, there is always the other 1H, and you will be able to attack faster again with the weapon tha missed.

but if you put it like that, since you get more swings, you also get more misses
the damage should average out in the end
