What I am saying is that BM doesnt need another spec gylph, UNLESS we use the gylph as a way to fix pet scaling. It might work.

Other fun uses: while macro for a VoA pug:
/RW Attention all dps. This will be your only warning. If you do not do more damage than my pet, you will not get loot. He doesnt get loot, why should you? BTW, he pulls 1400.
One time a mage actually dropped after I hit that RW.
1400 in a 25 man isnt unreasonable, and sometimes he hits 1600+ depending on buffs.
Wow... Umm... On Patch in naxx 10, my spirit beast was pulling 2k+ (no joke... she _was_ out dpsing a couple people)... got comments from other hunters like "I'd do 4.4k if my pet could do 2k!" VoA my spirit beast can still do close to 2k without much difficulty... so, if a devilsaur's only doing 1.6k in 25 raid buffs, I'ma keep my spirit beast :P
As far as using devilsaur for raid marking, that's just funny :p
So the question is 50% reduced cd on kill command vs. 4% more crit on steady shot and arcane shot, which is better?
Your Arcane and Steady crits also proc Cobra Strikes, Go for the Throat, your Mirror of Truth, etc. BM hunters gem for AP, they're not exactly rolling in crit rating, so a 4% buff on shots that take up 90% of a BM hunter's GCD's is pretty significant.
I wouldn't give up SI for CR in a raid build.
I'm going to agree here. I think raiding the passive bonus to your shots is going to seriously outweigh the extra pet dps of twice as many kill commands. In PvP or maybe soloing, Catlike Reflexes might give you better results.

Strange, can I see how you have your pet specced? Maybe I am doing something wrong. I use pet food, spiced mammoth for harder bosses, and kibblers for trash and bosses we have no difficulty with.
I have pulled over 5k on patch, but i dont remember ever seeing denver above 2k. I know I didnt check his exact numbers, that time, I just use him as a general guide when pugging. But then, we really have a strange guild make-up and no heroism, generally.

I remember when my scorpid was #2 raid DPS. It got to the point where it would be the one getting vigilance.
Well yeah, but that was back when scorpids were embarassingly powerfull. I remember taking one into an arena against another hunter and a holy pally (I was with my BF who was a druid)--i sicked it on the hunter, hit the holy pally with a concussive shot, viper sting, and then frozen arrow after a sec--looked back over, and the hunter was pretty much dead.
I had them used on me back then, and my bf couldnt heal me through it.
In 5 man H-ToC, my pet gets vigilance.
