Balance for leveling?

I know that feral is the best build for pve/leveling. But Ive recently started a druid, hes now lvl 16 but i still wonder if balance is good for leveling comparing to Feral. I have a 70 feral druid, so I started another druid.. for another spec. I want to spec this one to either balance or resto.
If any of you guys have leveled a druid as balance, please give me some advice and suggestion.
A talent build would be helpful as well.

I have no personal experience, but I do know that balance is a lot slower to level due to much downtime from drinking, plus seriously lacking
itemization
in pre-BC areas. But feel free to try it for fun. =)

Balance works for levelling (i did it), but feral is easier, in terms of equipment and less downtime.
While it's true that you can use cat form while waiting for mana regen, it's still not comparable to feral dps (unless you also switch equipment, but then you won't regen to full dps-stuff mana).
Or if you have a mage friend for water, then it's also fine.

Well, plus, "speccing Balance" at level 15 is nearly meaningless. OMG where did you put the 6 points you had?!?!
Sorry.
I'd pretty much unequivocally say that all druids should choose form-enhancing talents until at least level 20 or 30 simply because of talent availability.

well u see it is not true that u have to drink mana from kil to kil
fact is that the cost wrath at highest level is 232 mana....
starfire is around 350.... it's very good for leveling... u get moonkin form, force of nature, plus you get your wrath starfire and moonfire crits stronger!! for me it's the best leveling talents for druid!!! moonkins FTW
But you will have to drink eventually, or at least slow down to replenish your mana effectively. But as Feral Spec (and once high enough Imp LoTP aura), shift kitty, proceed to tear up X amount of mobs till health is around 50-65% (personal preference here) Shift out of kitty to heal (reapply buffs as needed) shift into kitty and continue on. Huge reduction in downtime.

Balance is perfectly good for levelling once you have access to Moonkin. Not quite as fast as feral because you will have some mana problems - you can't quest non-stop. But damage is very good if you gear properly, ie spelldamage > spellcrit > int, and if you keep a decent amount of spirit downtime is not too bad. A couple of tips:
- level first aid as you go, and use bandages and food to heal and stay in moonkin form while mana recovers
- get insect swarm and use the cheap dot to kill the last bit of mobs health while melee'ing for mana
- use innervate regularly while questing, it reduces downtime since you don't need to stop while it's running
- pull from long range and use roots only when you need to, if mobs go down fast roots is wasted mana
And it's true that balance is a much better healer than feral, there's more synergy in the talents and gear both, and it holds at high levels as well... but going to 40 would be easier as feral, since Moonkin is such a key talent for balance.
