Once Omen starts flashing my screen... it is set at default... usually Iw ill fire off a steady shot since it will slow me down a bit (1.7 cast for me without haste). This gives me time to do a little damage, but not some 6-7k shot which will make the raid leader yell... please daddy don't yell!

If it's shortly after the pull and the tank hasn't gotten good threat, i usually FD at 80-90%.
Aside from that, i typically wait until like 110-120%
unless
it's a fight where there's some chance i could end up in melee range. If there's any possibility at all you might end up in melee range (Ignis after getting dropped out of the crotch pot comes to mind) you better be keeping your threat below 100%.

I try not to be on the top 3 aggro. After all, *!@# happens.
If I'm the second on aggro, I won't have time to FD and survive in a tank's death.

I figure 95%+ of the time you lose the MT, you are going to wipe anyway.
I'm pretty much always the first person to drop after the MT. It's never really bothered me. *shrug*

I start by casting misdirect on MT when he runs in, wait about 5 secs, then unload.
Lately I've only been Feigning if the boss or equivalent hard hitting trash comes running to me.
Otherwise, I just work my rotation like mad.

My FD depends upon my tank. With most tanks in my guild, or God forbid a PUG, I feign as soon as Omen starts blaring at me. I have it set for 75% just to be on the safe side. But our normal MT, a Pally...I don everything aside from using distracting shot to see if I can pull. It's a game we play to see how long it take for me to pull aggro. As soon as I see the boss run towards me, I feign. If it fails, he taunts, and if that fails too...well...It's not too pretty.

At what percernt of threat do you FD?
I shoot for 90%. That gives me some play room in case #&%^ happens
At what percernt of threat do you back off?
I don't. When I'm on my hunter and it's a pure dps fight, i go 100% all out 100% of the time unless there's something in the fight that requires me to slow down or stop my DPS threat not included.

I usually try to get as close to that 130% mark as I can before I feign, but depending on the fight and who our tank is sometimes I decide to just pull it and deterrence tank for a while. ^_^ If I die I just say, "Damn my feign death crit again."
I'm pretty lucky we just got a new tank that can actually hold aggro against me when I open up without having to feign.

It also depends on how fast you're gaining aggro too. If it's a very slow rise, so that at 90% you have another 20 seconds before you hit 100%, then keep going. If you're gonna hit that in 5 seconds, then drop to the ground and make like a dead guy.
