Overheard in Booty Bay yesterday, two goblins with masks saying that next year they would be dressed up as an Assassin and a Corsair.
Discuss.
This is why I love Blizzard, their ability to laugh at themselves and at us. Fun details like that crack me up. This is clearly a play on the worgren/goblin mask uncovery leading to new race speculations for those of you who think I am serious.

Assassin look to much on Rogues so I doubt it.

They've always said that.
It's not a play on the worgen/goblin leak. It's a play on the pirate/ninja meme.

Everything is better with Jonny Depp playing a pirate in it?

Um... you may want to give the exact text of what was going on, since I think you are claiming a lot of stuff, and providing us only with kind of made up evidence.

I saw a discussion elsewhere about that and the consensus was probable D3 classes.
Impossible. There will be 5 classes for D3 and four have already been confirmed. Combine that with the fact that the Barbarian is the only recurring D2 class and the Assassin was another D2 class.

Where's the thumb on her left hand!
Probably gone. It wasn't rare for assassin's to have missing fingers. Usually their hidden blades would cut them upon release. Most of he time, if during an assassination, and they were cut, they'd have to severe their finger in order to prevent infection.

Upon further inspection, she does have a thumb, it just doesn't look a lot like a thumb and it's covered in lightning.
Also, where do you get your information? It sounds like it comes from Assassin's Creed. D:

No, I don't remember, but I had to do a report in my World History class last year. We could choose one group of people from any time periods around the world. I decided to go with Assassin's of medieval and ancient times. Since there was little to no hygiene, and plenty of disease and bacteria, that was often the only way to prevent gangrene and other diseases.

Lolwut? Is this a universal problem for all assassins worldwide throughout the ages?
I'd hope assassins could draw their blades without harming themselves.
Also, wouldn't a severed finger have a higher chance of infection than a smaller cut?
I really don't understand this post.

Right, I know ancient medicine called for lots of amputations, but that's not the part that concerns me. I'm really referring to your conjecture that real assassins used hidden blades that pop out and are prone to cutting their own hands. Also, wouldn't a severed finger have a higher chance of infection than a smaller cut?Generally, early medicine was 'try not to let it get infected' and then if (when) it did, it was 'stop infection from spreading', which meant amputation.
It's not like they were getting paper cuts and loping off arms.
