You forfeit way too many useful talent points just so you can get the regen and it's definitely not worth it.

I was thinking of doing this for BG's. Has anyone played around with dreamstate in a PvP environment and if so what did you think?

The healing officer in my guild (another resto druid) got me a nourish glyph from the guild bank and asked me to try this in last night's raid. I was assigned to the main tank, and it worked out fairly well. I did notice my mana running out faster, but I think part of that was because i'm not used to the difference, and was spamming and overhealing a bit too much, and overall it wasn't really a problem.
Overall it seems like a good single target healing spec. Personally I think full resto is better overall, but if you're in a guild that requires you to be a single target healer, this is more effective, particularly for healing spike damage. I'll keep practicing it and post my results here.
After 3.1 I used the Dreamstate build too because I was wary of how they decreased Spirit's effect on Mana regen and Mana is always the main issue with healers. I have 4 T7 piece for resto and that makes up for the Nourish glyph for now.
This is my build so far
http://www.wowhead.com/?talent#0VGbubIohZZfVzuVuxbuV0R:RkszmV
Mana issues gone (370 mana regen while casting unbuffed in current gear) and I've outlasted most healers so far, mana wise. And yes, I like the spellpower and haste and evasion too that comes from my current build. But any comments are welcome. :)

Actually, after 3.1 I am searching a resto tree something different than the HoT based. Even before the patch, I saw many druids using HT as their main healing spell and succeeded.
Your dream state build looks fine. I will try it tonight. But I would like to know your healing tactics. What is the priority of the spells and some advice as yo uare experienced with it.
And, one question: Is it better to use glyph of Nourish with this build?
Thanks

As a full resto druid before, I could say the role of resto druids in most raids were basically as raid healer because of the HoTs that can be quickly dispensed to raid members especially with the talent Gift of the Earthmother. But as the patches and expansions came a resto druid's role has basically changed too.
Like you said a couple of druids have turned to big heals (i.e HT) but a few have experimented with Nourish and succeeded with it too. I think the T7 bonus is a hint of where to go with your healing preferences.
For sure, you will not be topping the charts with this build. This build's concept was to actually to encourage you to stop spamming HoTs and be more mana efficient. As a general healing tactic with this build:
As a raid healer:
1. Spot heal with a Lifebloom (LB) and Rejuvenation the raid. Let the LB "bloom" and just reapply as needed.
2. If any of the raid members get low on health, use Swiftmend or a Nourish. I usually get a Glyph of Swiftmend ( which makes Swiftmend to don't consume the rejuventaion or Regrowth) to save on the HoTs that is on the raid member.
As MT healer, I still use LB, Rejuvenation, and just top off with Nourish. I rarely use Healing Touch and I save it for emergencies. I have it on a macro with Nature's Swiftness.
For your last question I actually haven't gone into using the Glyph of Nourish since like I said I have the T7 bonus of + 5% Nourish for every HoT on the target. I actually want to know if getting the glyph will stack on the Set bonus that I currently have.

You lose WG, and that alone for Ulduar hurts a lot. Might have a niche in a 25 if you have a bunch of shammies and priests that aoe, or some other druids.
Don't spec Dreamstate unless you are pvping, imo.

You're right razzem, i haven't tried it on Ulduar so I might change it later. Thank you for the input.

If you had a bunch of shammies and priests that aoe, you would be better speccing WG and letting one of the priests spec Disc. Dreamstate can't touch Disc for single target healing. You gain a lot of powerful utility from having one of the priests Disc. You gain nothing from having one of the druids Dreamstate.
This is my dreamstate build for PVP
http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-talents.xml?r=Anachronos&n=Lionheart&group=2
and i have to add, it works.
Huge survivability with the ability to deal damage and CC very well
A guy on my server plays at 2.1k rating in 2s with a Muti rogue with this spec:
http://www.wowhead.com/?talent#0xGfubcobZZf0Iubuxmuq0s:aku
which is very similar to yours. He specs for Living Spirit instead of Natural perfection but that is probably just to suit the way him and his partner play (it also feeds impTree a bit better). He also has fast wrath instead of Genesis which seems like a better choice to me. Considering how many points are spent on DPS talents, to not have one of the most important ones seems a chronic waste.

Why dreamstate when they can get a pally to do not only the same thing, but do it better then you? With the pvp buffs to tree, im not even sure its that viable there either (although i havent tried it, i arena in my normal tree talents)

After a lengthy theorycrafting discussion with my guild healing officer, I've refined this spec again. Since mana is rarely an issue on single-target healing, there's little point going all the way to Dreamstate. At approx. 1000 intellect raidbuffed, it equates to 100 mp5, which, while nice, isn't as good as the alternatives.
New Nourish/Single-Target healing spec is something like this:
23/0/48
After a night in Ulduar with this spec, I can say it works well for healing a tank. The HoTs help cushion the blows from various damage sources, and with Nourish hitting 6k (critting 50% at 9k) you can quickly get your target up from damage spikes. Healing Touch tends to be less effective than Nourish, even with all the HT talents, so this build drops most of the points that buff it. Your HoTs will be effective enough to do some raidhealing when needed and when possible, but the focus should be on one of the main tanks. Your numbers will be much lower than full resto, but keeping your target alive is priority.
The problem i have with this build is the lack of GotEM and threat reducing talents. 12% of your Int as spellpower is nice but is really not that big of an increase. Even if you are only healing the tank, you are still better off rolling all of your hots. Currently with the 4pc t7 with the glyph and 2350 sp, my Nourish crits for 11-12k frequently. To do this though, it requires all 4 of your hots be on the target. This is achieved by taking the WG talent AND maxing GotEM to reallpy Hots. While I have not actually tried a Resto build with LG, I do not think it can overcome the healing done by a 51point build.
Additionally, the 2 points in reducing the cast time for HT is not needed. The 2 points in reducing your threat would be much better in case you were healing an OT for the night or your dps acidentally killed your MT from a light bomb and you have to heal the OT through the fight.

Anile the problem you having with this build as that it's a completely different healing style from the normal druid mass HoT's. Or at least that is the idea. It's played much more like a pally with direct heals HT = HL and Nours = FoL.
Not that I personally endorse this build. Just a quick point to be made.
