Annoying siblings stealing my gold
Return to board index

You need a solution that won't get
you
in trouble as well. Threatening violence against your brother would lead to him running to your parents and crying that you threatened to hit him, which would likely get listened-to; there's a bit of a difference to parents between giving your bro a bloody nose and a bunch of virtual numbers that mean something to you.
Deleting your brother's character, or his gear, will simply escalate the situation; changing the password will only keep him out of the game until he complains to your parents that you changed the password to keep him from playing, at which point your parents will tell you to change it back (or do it themselves). At that point, your brother will then delete your stuff - so you'll not only be out gold, you'll be out gear, too.
Your best bet, in my opinion, is to take screenshots of how much gold you have each time you log off; if it's different when you log back in, confront your brother about it, and tell him that you have evidence of how much you should have, and will go to your parents with it if he doesn't give it back.
While it's a bit of a desperation attempt, if that still doesn't work and your parents won't listen, show him the page that states that sharing a WoW account is against the terms of service, and if he steals your gold again then you'll report your account to Blizzard and get both of you locked out of the game. :P

Account sharing is against blizzard's rules :P
But my suggestion is CHANGE PASSWORD AND RECOVERY.

Every time your brother steals gold from you, take the equivalent amount of real money from him. If he complains, kidney punch him.

The whole point is moot as far as we're concerned. Account sharing between siblings does qualify as a terms of use violation, so we're not going to be discussing this one further.
