Yeah the ratio of Agility to Attack Power is 1 to 1. The only time it differs is to start. You typically have 20 less Attack Power then what your Strength and Agility amount to. That is because of base stats. Other then that it should be a 1 to 1 ratio for both Agility and Strength.

a) If you are talking about AP gain from Agi, yes, every Agi point will yield you one Attack Power point.
b) If you are choosing between AP and Agi gems and looking for an equivalent to
16 Agi
gem in terms of Attack Power, then the equivalent blue quality gem would be
this one
. If you are deciding between Agi or AP gems then it depends on your gear, since important of both of these stats relies on your gear's stats.. If so, please provide an Armory link and we'll give you further advice.

Depends on spec too, I believe.
I thikn what he is asking is what Liquoid mentioned. He wants to know what he should be stacking, but each spec can be slightly different. For instance, is 32 AP = 16 Agility? Sure, agility can increase crit and dodge, but poisons can't crit and if your spec, like a Mut build, revolves around the amount of poison damage you do, AP might be more valuable at a certain point.

but poisons can't crit...
Not quite. Poisons can crit, however agility doesn't improve spell crit chance which poisons follow.
About the ap/agi comparison: one point of agi gives you one AP, but also a small ammount to crit, dodge and armor. That's why in terms of blizzard's itemization 1agi equals 1ap.
What should matter in the end is "what gives me more power"? If you don't use spreadsheets, the general rule of thumb (but which also might not be accurate for your specific case) is that until you get 4 pieces of t8, AP is better. Once you collect the set, agi should come ahead.

I'm not quite sure about that.
Here's my view
Agility increases a rogue's critical chance. As of 3.0.2+, critical rating applies to both spell, melee and ranged attacks' critical chance. So I think that as Agility increases critical chance by technically giving us critical strike rating, it consequently increases the poison critical chance.
What certainly
doesn't
increase poison critical chance is talents such as TtT and CQC since they increase critical chance of specific type of attacks.
Malice for example should increase poison critical strike chance when you read the tooltip. I mean, it just says generally "increases your critical strike chance", so it must apply to melee, ranged
and
spell attacks, so Malice most likely works just like Agility in the sense that it increases the
general
critical strike chance.
Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong

After researching Wowwiki it seems that the chaince for your poisons to crit is calculated the following way: your critical strike rating treated as Spell Critical Strike Rating to determine the chance to crit.
If Agility worked as giving critical strike rating then it would infact increase Poison Critical Strike chance. But agility gives a critical strike percentage, and that part isn't taken into account when calculating Poison critical strike chance, so KidB's statement was in fact correct.

Agility increases the melee crit chance - not spell crit. To quote straight from the wowwiki page - "
Agility...increases chance to score a critical hit with a weapon.
" Poisons, which count as spells, are not affected by this.
Generally speaking, intellect affects spell crit chance, but I'm not sure if that applies to rogues at all...

My second post confirms Iteken's data: his gear's critical strike rating is 641. When divided by 45.91, that comes to ~13.9%
