People go to Azshara anymore?
It's because most people are either in Northrend, or they are in main cities begging for boost runs from a level 80 to level them up, instead of learning how to play their class by questing.
I realize this is a gross generalization, and there ARE people out there who still quest and people who already know *how to play* and don't struggle from being boosted, but I am calling it like I see it. Most people are lazy and want boosts. Most people who get boosts don't bother to learn how to play, and that's how you get level 80's doing 500 dps in heroics and cracking a whopping 800 in raids.

Azeroth is as dead as Northrend was supposed to be if you look away from the capitals and starting zones...

other
fish
I can catch there still sell fairly well to people leveling up their cooking.

well i am having fun killing timbermaw for like the 5th time... =D
and i can see where you are coming from. I like to have a GROUP for my instances regardless if i could spend 5 g and get an 80 to run me thru in a quarter of the time.
you're right i think there should be a level MAXIMUM to get into instances also. just saying.
I don't agree about the level maximum. If they did that, how would higher levels who never could find a group at-level ever get the achievement, or experience that content?
I've boosted guildies in dungeons before, and traded boosts for alts. The people I boosted already performed well in raids, and I knew if they had confusion about playing their boosted toons, they would read forums, practice, and figure it out ;-) as I do with my toons.
It would be great if it were possible to find an at-level group, in less than 5 hours, and all people who grasp the concept of teamwork and don't quit if they die one time (usually their own fault), etc.
But who am I kidding?

I quested in Azshara on my mage. It's an interesting-looking zone, and the only way to get Piggy polymorph is there. I didn't do much there while leveling my main. Maybe I will check it out on my druid, currently I am planning to tear it up in Hinterlands for a while. ;-)

Azshara is a gold mine of tier 4 or 5 weeds (i.e. Goldthorn, Purple Lotus, Sunflower, etc) and Thorium / Mithral.
The fact that nobody goes there practically guarantees that weeds and dirt will be there for farming! During BC an hour of running around with a mining pick and gardening gloves guaranteed 100-200 gold. Which,,,,really isnt that much considering you can farm motes and crap at that time and make a killing. But easy farming is easy farming.
That might be true (truer?) even now, as people are getting all the NR weeds and dirt that they aren't paying much attention to Vanilla weeds and dirt, which might be going for a higher price as people just want to get Vanilla over with so they can get BC over with and into the fun part.
Just by $.02

I am currently leveling an alt rogue, in azshara and just got done in the hinterlands. and i never saw anyone else leveling.
Is this because people are to busy with NR content, or is it because these zones have been abandoned with leveling?
just wanna hear your thoughts wowhead. =D
There are very little quests in Azshara and it's hardly a quest hub. Come Cataclysm, I'm sure there will be plently of quests to do in Azshara.

Yeah, Azshara has always been dead. It was back in TBC too. Go to the more populated zones if you want to see people.
As for boosting folks or lvl 80s running lowbie instances - it should totally be allowed. However, you should get triple xp if everyone in the group is within the regular limits. That would probably make it more enticing to go in there with normally leveled folks.
Ooh that IS a good idea! If everyone is within ~5-7 levels of each other, the group does actually get more XP already (having a level 80 in your group drops the XP significantly) but a boost to that might be helpful.
