- A guildie of mine recently speculated that their was some trick to getting
this
, personally I don't belive it, but I said I'd look into it.
- So has anyone heard or seen anything that might have cause Rivendare's Mount to drop? Like killing a certain NPC (no jokes about killing Rivendare, plz) or not killing one? No, I'm not crazy, just desprite for the mount.

I meant that I don't want any jokes about the certain NPC part, I was sure that people would say: "Killing Rivendare increases the chances."

checked the comments on the mount, usually give out tricks if they exist.

Killing Rivendare should increase the chanse for it to drop.
What?

Killing Rivendare does not increase the chance of the mount dropping; it does decrease the chance of you NOT seeing the mount drop though!
(That is excluding the obvious fact that you are required, 100% of the time, to kill Rivendare to see the mount drop. Studies and statistics have shown that a Rivendare kill was executed every single time {without fail} prior to a party member receiving the mount.)
In all seriousness though, there is no gimmick behind the Deathcharger. Its a straight up drop chance.

It seems any time something is rare enough people begin to get superstitious about how to make things drop. If you stun him at 30% then jump non-stop as you finish him it increases drop chances and such. These are never true.
The Deathcharger is a very rare mount and you may need to kill Rivendare 100x to see it. Have patience and keep at it!

Just have as much luck as me :) Got it on my second run (while farming AD rep)

I can vouch for some of what Deriden has said, but I'm unsure about the gates part. You can indeed go through majority of the dungeon without worrying about aggro, just be careful (and be ready to strike if you do get aggro). Naturally, certain classes are a little better at certain parts of the dungeon.
In any case, the real trick is the final part--getting the door to Rivendare open.

IIRC all you have to do is wait for the Aboms to come to you. A bit boring but it really reduces the chance of it bugging.

It used to be a .01% drop rate, it has since been increased to something more like 1%
That's tremendous.

Keep farming, the drop rate is EXTREMELY better now.

Initially the drop rate was ~0.01%.
In TBC it was buffed to 0.1%.
Now it's ~1%.
Don't try to farm him in a single day - it'll wear you down. 5-10 runs are about as many as you should do a day - for a properly geared level 80 DPS, a run shouldn't take more than 15 minutes.

Well blizzard actually limits the number of instances you can run in a certain period of time.
How many and how long, I don't remember.
5 every hour
