A gripe with the new VoA

Naxx 25 is pretty casual in my opinion. My guild does alt runs in which we hardly have any 10 man gear and mostly heroic stuff. Granted we do know the strats from 4 months of farming, but pugs still should spend 4-5 hours clearing the place with relatively few setbacks. 10 man raids are pretty casual to get into, especially OS.
If you're trying to get into a raid as a casual and don't have the achievement or stats-- just make sure whoever the raid leader is knows you're a good player and you know the strats. They're on the web everywhere for Naxx. As a dps, you don't need to have a certain amount of stats, just knowledge of how to dps
consistently
.
If you're a casual player, but have time to do some reading and such-- I suggest checking out the Elitist jerks forums so you can get into those raids without achievements. Knowing the ins and outs of your class will get you access to the raids as a casual without a lot of gear.
In my opinion, I'm really happy they made Emalon actually difficult. I'm sick of Blizzard's new school of thought where they hand out epics. Getting epics in pre-BC took a lot of time investment and it felt damn good when you got them.

@ OP i kind of get where you are coming from with the idea of VoA being an "inbetween raid" to introduce raids to people who normally dont have time/aren;t hardcore players. However as you rightly pointed out the gear given as rewards far outweighs the effort put in.
While I agree with the statement, take a moment to consider how long it would be, based on the luck of Archavon's drops, to assemble a full T7 set, even if one single player had the ability to grab them all.
I sympathize with a lot of the more casual players. I joined WoW after TBC launched and the only raids I did were when my T6 guild carried me through Zul'Aman and Karazhan so I could see what it was like.
I'm now raiding alongside them and progressing through Ulduar, but it's only to get harder and harder to get into those raids as time goes on. Our raid nights are devoted to Emulon / Ulduar and on the off nights, most don't want to go *back* to Naxx / EoE after having farmed it for so long.
