Ah such elitism here.
Naxx 25 IS hard the first couple of times you do it. Sure its easy after. But most things are easy once you know how to do them.
VoA is to allow casual players to get the gear they need to be allowed into Naxx. Fewer raids these days will let people in who arent T7 geared.
Whilst it would have been good for Emalon to be separate for the sake of the 7 day cooldown, its not that big a deal. Your group doesnt have to do Emalon. You can just do Arch as before.

Not going to whine or cry about it at all, but I do think it would have been better for ema to have its own entrance and reset.
Main reason for me is that while you have a 7 day reset generally if you don't finish all of a voa in one go you'll never get the group back together and the longer you make VoA in terms of bosses the more likely your raid will get kicked due to wg starting. 1 Boss per entrance would have made it alot better imo.
If you don't start right when you get wg theres too good a chance of the raid running out of time (consider how long pugs take to get started, then if you find out you need better dps for ema replacing them, then if you wipe on ema....yea it's easy to run out of time if you get a pug that isnt 100% on track but that would get the job done if wg didnt start on them)
Still not a QQ just another lil +1 for wishing they'd made them seperate raids.

I think the OP is confusing "casual" with "stupid", because while Naxx25 might take some time to outgear, it's still very forgiving. It won't take you hours to understand the tactics, and in most cases you don't even have to.
Emalon is the same way, the tactics are very straight forward, there's no complicated moves or timings that you need to perfect, you just need to alternate DPS between two targets.
Eventually everyone gears up, if all that existed was entry level raid content you'd just have alot of loot that would never be used. Just because you cannot pug Emalon as easy as you can Archavon at the time of release, doesn't mean it will be a hard boss forever.
It's nice to have alot to choose from, but eventually you'll have to think about what to do once you've gotten everything you want from an instance, or just gotten tired of it. That's where progression comes in, and Emalon feels to me like like a natural progression from Archavon. You increase the DPS, HPS and mitigation needed, and you add a twist to the tactic. It seems hard to pug now, but the quality of gear will rise, if not with the Argent Tournament, it will with later content patches.
Also, it's not that hard to PUG only the old boss. You don't have to do Emalon. No need to separate them into two instances.

If all you got from my post is that "Emalon is too hard", I suggest you read it properly. I won't reiterate my points as they were clear and concise enough in the original post.
One thing I will ask - are you on a special server where people ask for your IQ and "skill level" when inviting to a PuG instead of stats and achievements? And how many people do you know that just want to skip Emalon at the moment?
I admit I skimmed through it, and I apologize, and I agree with most of your points. I'd still like to aim the post at some of the other posters though.
Oddly enough I have been invited on my new toon (still with some old TBC gear) into groups for not just 25 man Arch (and yes, only Arch) and OS, but also for Naxx, just by not being retarded, and not going "lol, need rogue?".

If you want an easy game go play Hello kitty. Just because you can't take the time to read 3 paragraphs and dps the marked target doesn't mean they should dumb everything down.

@ OP i kind of get where you are coming from with the idea of VoA being an "inbetween raid" to introduce raids to people who normally dont have time/aren;t hardcore players. However as you rightly pointed out the gear given as rewards far outweighs the effort put in.
Say you cant raid Naxx yet as your gear is sub-par, you gear up by doing Heroics, the T7 gloves cost 60 emblems and the chest a whopping 80. Now why on earth is it fair that you can roll up in questing greens and in 20 odd minutes be awarded a piece of T7 gear. This is not fair in the slightest, 60/80 emblems is a heck of a lot of time invested in Heroics especially if you have to PuG em all.
On the flip side, the gear checks for VoA are getting a lil ridiculous at some time "LF DPS 3.5K+" this is not a necessitity at all and those who can already pull those numbers are not unlikely to get upgrades from VoA. Conversly it irks me when a full green geared 1K DPS player rolls up and wonders why people aren't too happy about having to carry people through raids.
On a slight Tangent: The circle of idiocy. I understand the principle behind asking people for achivements before something like Pugging Naxx but if you have never run it, even of you have read up/watched vids about all the tactics how (besides a guild) are you supposed to touch down in Naxx? No Achi --> No Naxx Run --> No Achi --> etc...
