I do not need herbalism.
I already have 2xx herbalism on one character.
Anyway, I decided to start a new character and got him to level 10 last night and have 138 Inscription on him now.
So my question is: what should my second profession be? Enchant looks ideal, but I dunno. Will it really help my main character a lot to have enchant? My main character has skinning and herbalism, so he can't equip items crafted by chanters (afaik - I'm still learning about this game - correct me if I'm wrong).
Thanks.

How did you manage to get 2x Herbalism on one character? ;)
If you have plenty of herbs then Inscription + Alchemy might be interesting for you. You will be able to supply all your characters with potions then.
I think Enchanting will be even more useful. You can transfer enchantments using vellums (which you can create yourself with Inscription). Having one character with Enchanting is great to be able to disenchant green items. The materials usually sell for more then the item is worth or they can be used to create useful enchantments for both your characters.

I believe he was stating his herbalism skill is in the 200's level range, Mega.
OP, I believe enchanting would naturally go well with inscription, for the reason stated by Mega. The vellums created by inscription may be enchanted and become "Scroll of enchant ____" which can then be auctioned or mailed to your other toons.
Any item worn by your character may be enchanted via a scroll of ____. I sometimes keep a scroll of defense or spellpower handy in my bank in case I get a gear upgrade (Dual-spec tank/healer).
The scrolls created by an enchanter can be used to enchant any item that fits the level requirement, regardless of the characters professions. Enchanters DO have profession-specific ring enchants that non-enchanters cannt use, but most enchants can be applied to others' gear bia aa vellum (scroll) or thru the trade window.
I am leveling a mage with enchanting and JC, and I have toyed with the idea of taking inscription on a different character in order to be able to create my own vellums to enchant. Realistically though I am not sure i have the time! LOL
