Suggest me a good "grinding" area with packs of humanoids

I am one of those players who actually like (I could say *love*) grinding. Sometimes I just do it for the pleasure of mass-aggroing with my bear and AoE all the mobs. That said, I am now making some basic "statistics" to see how much I can grind per hour (from gold drop only)... this is why I test various places until I find "the" perfect spot where I can group-aggro lots of mobs (10+) while mounted and then just let my bear do the job with my aid.
This is what I need:
lots of humanoids/undead in a (possibly) small area
level range 75-78 and non-elite
melee mobs, no casters (or few of them)
fast respawn would be good but
What would you suggest?

Right under Voltarus in Zul'Drak. Dunno about the respawn rate but it meets your other 2 points.Yes I've been there today and it's not bad, good tip.
I like Onslaught Harbor for that. It is Eastern part of Ice Crown
This area is very good for pet leveling but in terms of AoE grinding is not optimal: it's full of archers and casters that slow you down and hurt pretty bad. I just added a new point to my list: melee required :) Plus they're mostly level 80 so mass-aggro is much harder.

Just thought of this today, what about the mobs in Ymirheim area for the blood of the chosen daily?

Have you tried the Club? Aside from the headache you'll get from the music there are TONS of humanoids there grinding and attempting to respawn, if you know what I mean and I think you do.

Respawn rate is terrible, and taking dropped gold and items is frowned upon greatly.

Go for the Converted Heroes in Icecrown. They're Undead, bu they drop cloth and gold, and they come in 7 packs. They are also level 79-80 though. I can usually AoE down 2 groups of them before having to mend the pet and heal myself. Also to note, they are immune to slows.
Oh yes I know them as they're part of a chainquest in that area. They're good but not amazing: yes they wander in packs of 7 but the dropped gold is not great (varies from 5 to 38, more or less I get around 20G per mob...). Some mobs can slow you and aggro range seems quite large (not a good thing when organizing aggro-packs). You also need to move around to find new packs each time.
Lower level mobs (75-77) take less time, less volley shots and of course less mana, making the "grind-per-hour" process way better. Gold drop from that lower level mobs is almost the same but the time you spend is much lower.
So far the area under Voltarus in Zul'Drak is very good as you can pack 10+ undeads at once and aoe them very easily with no aggro loss (using a bear properly talented to output maximum damage).
Still looking for even better spots, keep up the suggestions and thx for sharing ideas :)

Females consistently Evade bug too...
Being the Hunter there is so rewarding though. One MD to your wing man takes care of the Boy Friend agro and if that fails just FD then single pull her BFFs.

I don't think I specced for max damage, but I did spec for a ton of survivability, BW and mending glyph, blood of the rhino and pet barding, and silverback. Part of my rotation when farming is to get all the mobs gathered up, as soon as mend pet is off CD I fire a multishot, feign death, and then with my aggro resetting I can fire off a lot of volley without pulling. I also use 2 frost resist pieces and some PvP gear, but I'm killing the 78-80 mobs in Storm Peaks along with Hodir dailies. My biggest recommendation is dual Oracle trinkets, cause when 10+ mobs dies you get all of your mana back and downtime=time spent looting/skinning. You can kill the elementals behind Dun Nifflem and I've gotten 60 Relics of Ulduar and 5 Elemental Earths EDIT:in the course of about an hour.
As for a great place to farm humanoids is the Frenzyheart dudes in Sholazar when you get the mastery of the crystals daily. They don't drop nearly as much, but get a spot in the middle of their path to set down the crystals and set a volley right in their path. The volley tags the mobs for you, and when they get close enough to attack you they get WTFROFLPWND by the crystals in about a second. Pick a good spot and you can kill literally hundreds in less than 10 minutes, in fact you have to slow down at times to loot the bodies in time before they respawn. Best part is you have almost zero expenditure in ammo. I haven't tried this either, but looking at the zone in Wowhead you have
Frenzyheart Spearbearer
to the north. If they crystals work that far up great. If not they're still very easy to kill, and they list the same approximate gold rate as most of the Icecrown mobs.
