Would you suggest getting the ret points out of the way first? or the Prot?
I'd go in this order:
LEVEL 10:
Benediction 5/5
Imp Judgements 2/2
Heart of the Crusader 3/3
LEVEL 20:
Seal of Command 1/1 (You can skip this after level 62, but it's the only good seal before blood/martyr)
Conviction 5/5
Sanctity of Battle 3/3
Crusade 1/3
LEVEL 30:
Sanctified Retribution 1/1
Two-Hand Weapon Spec 3/3
Crusade 2/3
Vengeance 3/3
Crusade 3/3
Improved BoM 1/2
LEVEL 40:
Judgements of the Wise 3/3
Repentance 1/1
The Art of War 1/2
Fanaticism 3/3
The Art of War 2/2
Improved BoM 2/2
LEVEL 50:
Crusader Strike 1/1
Sheath of Light 3/3
Swift Retribution 1/3
Righteous Vengeance 3/3
Swift Retribution 3/3
LEVEL 60:
Divine Storm 1/1
Divine Strength 5/5
Sanctified Wrath 2/2
At this point you're level 67 and you can get whatever you want because you have every talent that improves your DPS. I would recommend the following:
Pursuit of Justice 2/2
Divine Purpose 2/2
Guardian's Favor 2/2
Stoicism 3/3
Divine Sacrifice 1/1
Divinity 3/5
This is a pure pve build with points in a few pvp talents that help with mobility and raid assistance while not reducing your dps at all.
End Result

For the most part, MischievousLoki has the right idea, however, I'd recommend getting Pursuit of Justice as soon as you possibly can. The extra run speed helps out a lot in the long run.
You can adjust the talent plan to get PoJ earlier by getting it instead of the first two points in crusade, and filling those in much later.

PvP is actually
Command
SoB.
Fix't
SoComm is a
broken
leveling spell. The only time when it actually is better to use SoComm is when levelling 20-62.
The recoil from SoB is less than the extra damage taken from the increased time it takes for you to kill a player/mob with SoComm.

You dont want to dot your opponent as a paladin in PvP this means you lose 50% of your CCs.
Well you lose one of your two CC's because repentenance will break on damage.
And on top of that SoB does more damage than SoV.

Yea PMs wouldnt have hurt but i guess they have their reasons.
I play alliance and really race doesnt make any difference to me.
I choose whichever race looks the part.
If you're into having the "best" race for paladins, i find this list to be very true:
PVE Holy: Blood Elf
PVE Ret: Human
PVE Prot: Dwarf
PVP Holy: Dranei
PVP Ret: Human
PVP Prot: Dwarf
