Dang, at least they announced that before I got my LW up and dropped skinning to solely my alt. I'm not sure it's worth levelling up all that way in JC, but maybe there is still hope.
Any word on higher JC only gems?

I'm a hunter alchemist and I definitely do find it useful. Its nice being able to make my own flasks of endless rage when I go raiding and as I'm a herbalist too (smart move some would say lol) I have found lifeblood to be useful on more then one occasion when I'm low on health and the healer has to make a decision between healing the tank or dps (obvious answer). It helps to keep me on my feet long enough to get chucked a heal. However if I'm honest I only picked alchemy as I already had a character with lw otherwise I probably would have made my hunter a lw.
