my guild seems to have stopped raiding.
tbh, people doesn't log at all. when we wre farming bosses was hard to choose which ones to leave out, now in ulduar it's more difficult -> we wipe -> people like free loot so doesn't log. (i know it's not so difficult but
probably
many guildmates are really bad at playing their class)
im in here for like 2 years and a half, and i found a small group of very fun people...i really like to play with them.
some are leaving, some new are joining but this week we had only done 10man naxx, just because there was no people. (at least we have brought ppl for gearing up them)
what do you think about it? there is some people i don't want to abandon, but the same way i don't want to stay at home in front of my monitor and passing the evenings watching stupid videos on youtube (my GF was busy ARGH)

Most guilds are seeing this, including the one I'm in. What we're trying to do is to find people up for progression, and weed out those who don't log for raids. People are so used to free loot handed to them in Naxx, they forgot what repair bills are.

you think this is a fitting subject for the rogue forum?
not it's not. but there is no other place to post. i posted here for the community that i have found really helpful even in questions not about rogue mechanichs.
since i'm a rogue, and i have a role in a guild, i think it's interesting what other rogues think about this. so i choose rogue forums.
as for us, we are at 10man keepers (freya down) and 25man iron council. the worst thing was that we were going pretty well then.....the abyss. hope it will be going better, let's see what we will do this evening.

Well the decrease on people showing up for your raids it might be because alot of people have their exams/tests/hand-ins (etc you get it) during this period.
Hopefully after a while once people get liberated from their RL duties they'll return :)
(I.e. summer's gonna be a blast :))

what is this RL of which you speak? :)
to the op.. ulduar is killing a lot of raiding guilds for the reasons that have already been mentioned. it's not easy. you have to be WELL geared to pull it off. you can't carry scrubs through it. if people don't pull their weight, the raid will fall apart..... quick.
people who are bad at their class, regardless of gear, are gonna have the same issue. if your guild is progressing thru ulduar at all... congrats.. there are some that aren't even doing anything more than flame leviathan.. if you're seriously unsatisified about how your guild is going.. talk to the GM... if worst comes to worst, start searching for another guild.

If your guild is a raid guild then
progression
shuld be what you aim for. Set raid times start using DKP system and make a main raid group with players that make it to raids. And as for people who cant play there class that well, Find the best players of each class in your guild and make them your guilds class officer (Rogue class officer) and any other rogues that are having a hard time with there class send them to the class officer for a leason or tips what ever that person needs.
And as for 10 Ulduar if you can clear 10 naxx with no troubles then you can do 10 Ulduar. Just make sure you have a good raid leader that knows how to lead, and dont rage at ever1<== rage = /guild quit

BS. 10 man naxx is a calm walk in the park in a warm and sunny Sunday afternoon.
10 man ulduar, while not hard (especially with the constant nerfs), is still more like a walk in the park during a rainstorm. Not hard to do, but not terribly easy.

yeah i know all of this, and i know it' being nerfed, i hope this will make it more attractive for those that raid only for the free epics.
we never will use dkp, don't ask me why, it's an officer decision. (epgp is the way imho, but im not the one who decides).
i don't like the ulduar nerfs, but if this is the only way to reach the end, i must follow it. i hope also that increased raid difficulty will make player better at playing their class.
