I am trying to make a macro that will target the closest friendly player. However, Icannot seem to narrow the target parameter options to just a real player. Instead, it also targets NPCs.
I have tried several options:
/targetfriendly
/targetfriendly
/targetfriendly
..and several other variations.
Also I am looking to make an opposite macro to target the closest enemy player.
I am trying to set this up so I can /wave /giggle people without typing or having to click/tab.
My end-all-goal is to have something simular as...
/targetfriendly
/giggle
/targetlasttarget
and
/targethostile
/wave
/greet
/welcome
/me says please got dont kill me--you ugly bastard.
/targetlasttarget
Like I said I just cant keep it from targetting npcs.

I think it is not possible for the macro to tell difference between npc or player.
And btw, if you're trying to use that /me to talk to enemy players, it won't work. It shows as "-Name- makes some strange gestures".

Celebi is correct. You cannot differentiate between hostile NPCs and hostile players or between friendlies of the same.

Nope. All targeting functions are protected.
