I'm having my eye on 2 threads on both EU and US official forums for quite a while now. Theyre about ghost quests: quest where you (probably) have to be a ghost for and that are hidden. GMs confirmed there are around 20 of those ghosts quest that
no one
has ever done yet.
GMs also gave quite a few hints, with many pointing to Ungoro.
Also, we know about a few ghostquests:
BRD Shadowforge key
Linken quest
Quests in Azshara

What do you guys think :)? Imo, they excist, but haven't been able to find one yet ;<

I remeber there was a lot of discussion about this, maybe a year ago or so. I don't think any other 'ghost quests' apart from the ones you have listed have ever revealed themselves. With so many people playing and getting themselves killed in every stupid place you can think of. And this has been going on for over 4 years. I don't really see how anything could have gone unnoticed.
However, quests could be on places its hard to die (no falling stuff or mobs, or you need stuff equipped like Eye of Divinity, soap on a rope (like a GM said, no one is sure if its a joke :p).
also, there could be big prereqs like ''exalted with this, done that quest, do an /emote (like the chickens in elwynn), etc.

it could most likely be true bcs there is alot of odd requirement to open up a q.
Lets say you need to be at a certain place on a certain hour once a year. While wearing a full defias set to see an invisble defias in dustmashallow marsch(sry if misspronounce it).
So sum up:
- quest who involves emotes
- quest who requires items
- quest who requires death or an effect on you
- quest who only appears during a certain time or a condition needed to happend before(q line or rep based for example).
- combinations of aboves
So it not so unlikely there is some truth that the GM is telling us.

I am by far no expert on data mining, but I find it hard to believe that hidden quests, items and npcs would be able to stay hidden for so long in the game files without anyone finding any reference to them at all.
The trick with WoW data mining is that the really interesting stuff (items, quests, NPCs, etc.) isn't present in the game client's files. The data is sent from the servers only as needed and just cached on our computers, and it's those cache files that are data mined. But if you never find a particular item, quest, etc., it never shows up in your cache and can't be mined. It's
totally
possible for undiscovered quests to exist in the game.
On the other hand, I completely agree with your point about it having little purpose to hide things that well. Hidden,
plus
only once a year,
plus
only while wearing a certain combination of items? That's not a good use of the devs' time, and if it isn't a good use of their time, it isn't a sound business decision.
Besides, Blizz has put a lot of effort into making as much of the game as possible is accessible to as many people as possible. That's why Naxx reappeared in Wrath, after all — not enough people had seen it. If there were that many "undiscovered" quests out there, we would have been pointed in their direction before now. :-)

Why
wouldn't
Blizz make a quest that they didn't expect anyone to even discover? No one is saying it has to be a chain or even long/complicated. The point of Blizz doing something like this would simply be to see if anyone found it. Think of it as an Easter Egg...

I'd cream my pants if I was the 1st to do some unknown ghost quest that no one had ever done before for some phat loot.

First, if anyone remembers the Essence of Eranikus quest 'chain' that just plain dead ends .You mean the one that is continued as part of the Scepter Of The Shifting Sands questline?

Perhaps you have to be killed while in combat with King Mosh, a gorilla and an ooze all at once? Is there a spot on the map where you could successfully aggro all these? Obviously I've never tried to get them all into combat at the same time, but this is plausible because it's highly unlikely but not as unlikely as the once a year, Defias set-wearing at ten o'clock thing.
Just a thought.
Short version: Perhaps you have to do in a specific way.
