Ret > JoL
Holy > JoW
Prot > JoJ
Why?
JoL > Rets heals for the most since JoL scales with both AP and SP.
JoJ > Holys cant judge JoJ from 40 yards anymore so this goes to prots.
JoW > Doesnt scale with anything so holys judge this because of their increased range.
Why 2 specs cant judge the same?
Rets JoL is the most powerful so it's just stupid to overwrite it.
Prots have JotJ and if you overwrite his judgement it fades.
Holy can only chose between JoW/JoL (unless they stand within 10 yards (not to recommend))

Ret's average light heal tick is 700-900
Holy's is something like 300-400
Prot's is something like 300-400
The reason being is, Judgement of Light scales with spell power and attack power equally, so the paladin with the most AP+SP is the one that should be judging it.
That is always the ret paladin.

Well prot's ususally judge wisdom (from my limited exp.) as there is no real reason to JoJ on bosses at all (or is there?) also guarentee's a 100% uptime

Svirve already explained why this shouldn't be the case (if you have a paladin of each spec in your raid).
Pre 3.1 it didn't matter as much, because holy could judge justice from 40 yards too.

I believe Magnerz is right about prot using Judgement of Wisdom. I don't think Judgement of Justice does anything significant for PvE, since bosses don't flee or move much. If you are fighting a boss that moves alot, then Justice might be a good judgement, otherwise prot should use wisdom I believe.

Justice doesn't do anything in raids, no. Read Svirves post.
Holy has to judge something, not overwrite a prot's or a ret's and justice doesn't go 40 yards anymore.

What is wrong with overwriting a prot pallies wisdom? effectively it could mean prot pallie dropping judge out of their rotation a bit more (tho' it's nice to get the mitigation from LoO). Nothing wrong in over-writing JoW effect imo....

Ahh gotcha, so JoJ is used so the effect of JotJ isn't overwritten, makes sense :)

Yeah, I guess it wasn't enough that I told him to read it two or three times.

Naw lets be fair now. Magnerz is usually a very attentive individual.
