What I'm hoping for, in macro form:
1. If available, cast Berserker Rage
2. If available, Charge (if target is hostile) Intervene (if target is friendly).
3. If target is hostile and Charge is unavailable, cast Intercept.
Steps 2 and 3 are easily done, but factoring BR in is causing me problems (i.e. if it's on CD, the whole thing falls over). Can anyone help?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but macros cannot detect spells cooldowns and act on that knowledge.
Quite right (afaik), but I was rather hoping that it could just go down a list of spells (with the GCD out of the way until the end), casting those which it can, moving on from those it can't.
I realise I can't stop it
trying
to cast a cooling down BR, but I'd hoped it'd carry on the script regardless.

Well, Charge only works out of combat, so Does this work?
/cast Intervene;Charge
/castsequence reset=10 Berserker Rage, intercept
(EDIT: Took out combat on intervene...can be used outside combat, after all.)
Important note: Intervene only works in Defensive stance, and charge only works in battle stance. This means you'll want to have the macro check your stance as well. I forget the exact syntax, since I usually rely on the auto-popup stance bars for that functionality now. I think it's something like Charge or something like that.

Charge works in combat for a protection warrior.
Warbringer
OK, for Warbringers, then, this should work:
/cast Intervene;Charge
/stopmacro
/castsequence reset=10 Berserker Rage, interceptWhen you want to Charge, hold down alt, target an ally and Intervene, otherwise it will alternate Berserker Rage and Intercept.
