Check your class forum for hint and tips and guides on how to play, and for pre-HC gear lists.
The easiest heroics are in my opinion UK, Nexus and VH.

After raiding there isn't anything to do except to level another alt just to do it over again.
Not true at all.
Arenas
PvP
Achievement Hunting
Profession leveling
etc. There is a lot more to do than raid at end game.
Agreed. There's way more to the game than simply raiding.

Everyone has basically hit the nail on the head.
First, go to your class forum and figure out a list of gear to get from regular level 80 instances and heroics to lead you into raids. You don't need to be some Heroic geared out machine in order to do raids. OS and Vault are both easy raids to get into even if your gear isn't fully up to par. It's basically free loot.
Maybe find an end game/raid/heroic farming guild if you aren't in one already. It's much easier to find groups that way.
After you get some heroic gear, you can start doing some BGs or Arenas in order to start working on your PvP set, (that is if you're into PvP, some aren't).
Then when you're saved to all of your raids for the week and have no more heroics to do or simply don't want to do anymore, you can level cooking or fishing if you haven't already. Go ganking in Hellfire, it's the best place to gank imo, (this is where I don't see how people enjoy PvE realms. Ganking is such a fun thing to do when you're waiting for the raids/heroics to reset). Farm achievements or gold from dailies, help lower level characters, anything really.
If you're interested in leveling an alt, then work on getting some of the BoA shoulders, either the ones from StoneKeeper Shards in WG or the ones from the end game badges. Don't forget to decide which class your alt is going to be before buying the shoulders. That way you know which type to get, plate, mail, leather, cloth. It's also nice to buy one of the BoA weapons, too. It makes it easy not having to replace a weapon as you level due to the fact BoA gear scales to your current level.
Really, the world of warcraft is yours, no matter which level you are.
