[Suggestion] Private Messages

Well I feel that over the time that I have been on WoWhead I have felt the need for private messages to be instated, because sometimes you want to communicate with another user in order to maybe ask specific question or maybe contact someone who was recruiting for guilds on the recruitment forum. Of course this could be abused but a report PM button could be implemented and if someone does abuse PMs they could have this feature taken away.
PS: it came to me when i saw maly's friend codes and decided i needed to somehow give me mine so i can kick his butt at SSBB >:D

Yeah... the Staff doesn't like to keep the Under Dev page full up to date because other sites were stealing THEIR ideas and taking credit for it.

off-topic: Even if the blues weren't notified about the upcoming joke by Wowhead staff, I doubt they'd care to be honest.

Message: Your boss strategies suck! You clearly have no idea how the fights look like, you have never been there! Go read some websites and get a raiding guild, you hobo, then try to write $%^&!
P.S. Check website1, website2, website3.
Something along those lines. We are not trying to date each other here, but sometimes it's nice to be able to tell somebody something without making a public thread.

Besides the obvious usefulness of being able to send messages directly to another user, the PM system could also be used to inform the user that someone has replied to his thread (or a subscribed one), or quoted his post.
Being informed when someone has quoted your post (in other words replied to your post) is immensely useful. Currently, you have to scour through the forums and look up every thread you've posted in, if you want to see what someone has said to you. But with such a system, you can just glance at the top right of the page next to your name (presumably) to see if you've got any new messages. Giantbomb has a system like it, so maybe you'd want to check out how it works.
Besides making the forums a much more comfortable experience, being notified when someone quotes you helps lower the amount of posts directed at you that you miss entirely. Don't forget that regular PMs also help with this, since without a PM system, many of the would-be PMs would've just been thread posts instead, or not posted at all.

I'm against a PM system but I like a notification system where you are alerted if someone replies to your comment or quotes you.

But then how will I stalk Pelf?

given the nature of the wow community (aggressive, immature, prone to harassment, personal attacks, etc.) I'm not so sure allowing pms is such a good thing. Could easily lead to overload on the moderation crew to handle all the complaints (or most everyone turning it off to get away from the flood of insults, spam, scam attempts, etc.).
While wowhead is a bit better than the Blizzard forums when it comes to that, it's not immune to it by far.
