I have nothing against you guys.
This is like explaining what a colourblind person sees to a non-colourblind person.
I don't understand what God is thinking because I can't comprehend it.
Explain to me how the Big Bang happened. You can't
explain to me how god was created? you cant.
give me proof that any gods exist? you cant
really religion and non religion are at no arguement really because neither side can prove a point against another.
how do you prove something didnt exist when there was no proof it existed to begin with?
I have my proof, you just are not willing to hear it, and even if you do, will automatically wave it away.

No one says the big bang happened without a doubt, in fact many are claiming alternate theories. However, the very idea of science is that people are supposed to always question their beliefs, for the sake of learning. Religion is stagnant. Whoever follows it automatically sets limits and restrictions on themselves.
You are so wrong. Do you think I mindlessly follow without thinking? I thought about it all, it made sense, and therefore I still believe in god. Do you honestly think that you are that smart and all who believe in god are mindless idiots?
It doesn't make sense. All the core concepts of religion are entirely irrational.

No, no they are not, give me an example and I will tell you why it makes sense, at least to me.

theres a giant bunny on your shoulder, prove me wrong.
I could prove you wrong by one of two methods, either look at my shoulders and say I don't see anything, then take a picture and send it to you. Or I can tell that even though I can't see it, I can't feel it either, or hear it and there are no rabbits anywhere close to where I live anyway.

its invisible, and you cant feel it. but its there.
then I would say that you were just wrong, and people don't try to prove god's existence like that, at least I don't

No-one is smart enough to be able to know that

Try to describe colours to a person who has been blind from birth. No matter what you say, they'll never be able to understand the difference between red and green in the same way as a sighted person can.
In the same vein, someone who believes in God, and who feels Him in their heart and soul, cannot explain that feeling to someone who has not felt it. It's something that is inherently illogical, that cannot be proven. That is the reason why I myself don't believe in God, or similar beings.
But I
do
admire those who can make that leap of faith, as it is something that I cannot do. Of course, as with all things, it can be taken too far.
For the record, my personal belief is that we should try to live as peacefully as possible, doing good where able, and trying to discover as much as we can about the universe, the world, and ourselves. In the end, if God does exist, I'd hope that He'd prefer us to use the minds He gave us to discover everything about the universe He made then go along with a scripture that we didn't truly believe in.

Dang, I go to bed and this thread takes off. Hmmm, I don't know where to start from last few pages so I think I'll just wait for something new to be brought up.

I don't like the new title. Religion and Science are two very diferent(spelling?) things. You can't argue them against each other. Nobody will win. Ever.

Fine, fine.

Yay! Now, sociology topic!
Human kind; kind hearted race or bastards coated with bastards and bastards filling?
Post by
Queggy
You can't really judge a whole race by just a select handful of people.
Post by
Sagramor
I'm not asking that, I'm asking deep down inside; do you think the we, as a race, are evil or good?
