In essence the changes have created in us a complete reworking of our tanking. We are now no longer an avoidance or mitigation tank. We are a cool down tank. That is the best way to describe what the nerfs have done to us. The new trinket from normal new 5 man will save you a world of hurt with, but I have basically setup my cooldowns and use them on a regular basis now. As long as I am cooldown popping I am fine, once I stop it gets ugly.
What this will do is weed out alot of the run up stand and spam DK tanks? Because it's going to take work to be a good cooldown tank. Our cooldowns are still the best in the business.

No, it did have a cooldown increase; a lot of people just didn't notice it.

i lost 1k armor, and around 1.5k health. I gained a little parry, but lost a little dodge. All in all my total avoidance stayed about the same.
Ran 10-man ulduar, and my healers said they didnt notice a difference.
Since patch day though, ive been able to get a bunch of conquest emblem gear pieces. That along with epic gems, higher JC gem values, and a buff to the mining stam buff, my stats are almost back to where they were the day the patch hit.
The only big difference i've noticed is my MT for my group is a prot warrior. Before the patch he couldnt pull aggro off me to save his life without spamming taunts. Now his threat gen is through the roof with the doubling of all block value on items and an increase to threat gen on devistate. So in the end, my biggest nerf was the buff they gave the other tanking classes.
