I don't mean to sound like a &*!@#$ but you don't even have the the kill count for thorium so how can you possibly know how hard the aoe fights can be in the arena?
Check my armory first.
Ok, I tell you now. Thorium is a piece of cake. The aoe fights in the arena are just too easy, as a rogue I spam 1 key until Thorium jumps down.
As a DK tanked in the 10man version, with HB / D&D / BB .. you could never lose aggro on the mobs. NEVER.
Uld itself, the whole instance, is easy.

See here's where you're having problems, if the DPS actually being able to hit it more then twice causes them to pull aggro, it's YOUR fault. Your gear and/or your technique needs work; because I've seen Warriors hold threat in 25 Thorim with Thunderclap and Shockwave, you have infinitely better tools then a Prot. Warrior for this.
That's all it is really, it's not a spec problems. It's you. Play Better.

More life does NOT EQUAL more threat. Your logic if fail on many levels, but I will point to just one. If they generated more threat over the span of a target, then how do you have threat in the beginning? You should ALWAYS be ahead of your DPS mainly because you will generate more threat because of Frost Presence.
The only way someone should be passing you is if you switch to blood or you are not hitting the target. If they pass you that means that you are not generating threat at all.
