I pretty much went with this, though i haven't been through naxx with the new talent that allows rip to crit yet, but thats how i have specced my feral kitty.
It hasn't let me down at all, i tend to never use the ferouious or whatever bite skill, since its not really useful, i tend to do just this rotation.
1: Mangle - rake - shred - roar
2: Mangle - rake - shred - rip
It all depends on if any of them crit or not, considering that most of the guild is geared for 25-man naxx, i do pretty good, always in the 6-7th rank in dps, i don't care that i ain't 1st, all i know is that i am holding my own and thats all that matters to me.

You also need to get 3/3 King of the Jungle. Taking infected wounds over this is a dps drop, although you are providing nice support to the tank with infected wounds.

Support to the tank? LOL... Any serious tank will use his own skills for reducing incoming damage by increasing the mobs' swing timer. Also, on trash packs, you only use Mangle once to get 1-2 CP, then Savage Roar and Swipe away. That's like only ONE mob with Infected wounds, GG you are very useful (duuuuh). On the other hand, higher Swipe damage means trash dies faster, which means the tank is spending less time being hit by mobs. Bingo!
Bottom line is, Infected Wounds does NOT belong in a PvE pure DPS build, under any circumstances. Also King of the Jungle is quite an important talent for DPS, no serious Pussy Cat would run without it.
And one small side note:
Mangle - rake - shred - roar
should in fact be Mangle-rake-roar-shred for better results.

Or, even better:
Mangle - Savage Roar - Rake - Shred
So your bleed gets the SR effect. It will last until you can refresh it after your first Rip (or at least it has in my experience).
I see many people have spent those 5 points into +15% to FB. I don't see it as a good talent now for 5 points, since it's not a guaranteed crit on bleeding targets anymore.
5 talent points for a spell you use once every 'rotation' could definately be argued against :P
Same, 5 points for something that might happen in that percentage is too much.
The thing is, the distribution of those points out of buffing FB to other places is removing points in a DPS-increasing talent and putting them into stuff that doesn't increase DPS.
The pure DPS spec is this:
0/55/16
. The options (that I have seen cited) for otherwise distributing the points that are invested in
Feral Aggression
are:
Feral Swiftness
Moving faster can help in various situations, but encounters are not balanced around it so it's only a cushion. Tanks can make great use out of movement-increasing effects, but this is for DPS.
Survival Instincts
There are no situations where a DPS Cat would take damage that they SHOULD be taking that would have killed them but death from which was averted by having this talent. Encounters are (again) not balanced around people having this kind of stuff and incoming raid damage is balanced around being healable.
Feral Charge
It was fairly hard for me to justify dropping this as I've used it a lot in the past -- mitigating falling damage by charging after a punt; quickly getting back to a boss after a position change; et cetera. In the end, though, rogues don't have it, shamans don't have it and I don't need it. If you really can't live without it (and I'm still figuring out if I can),
this is the only place I could justfying moving a point from Feral Aggression to somewhere else.
Nurturing Instincts
Fights are not balanced around (tired of hearing that already?) having incoming healing buffs and you shouldn't be taking damage that is unhealable without them.
Basically, the pure spec is pure. If you want padding to give you more wiggle room in new fights and new instances, you can sacrifice DPS for utility and buffers. The thread was, though, "Ultimate DPS PvE Build (Feral)" after all -- the pure spec will provide the most DPS for your talent investment.

But I kinda like the buff myself
.
Quote the whole thing man:P
Either way I do like the buff I was just bringing up that an arguement against is there and is valid :P

Sorry :). It
is
an argument, but I don't think it's valid in the context of this thread. The Ultimate DPS build includes 5/5.

That it does.

Wrong.
It only increases bear form, NOT cat form, besides the tiger fury thing which i never really use
Also, when it comes to Swipe, i tried it and the damage for the energy cost was rather insignificant, even if it hits more then 1 mob.
Either way, i am sticking with my spec, i am only saying what i did to help out the topic maker....it works for me and since its my character, its not really important if others like it. :)

BEEEP.
You are wrong!
Tiger's Fury gives talented feral-cats +60 energy every 30(27 w/4t7).

BEEEP.

When it comes to large groups of enemies, Catswipe, just like Fan of Knives, is a massive tool to give us more damage. There's a reason ferals have been clawing at the top of the trash-charts since WotLK came.

Stick with your spec and do less DPS than a better spec. After all, you're the one paying the WoW-bills. But do realize that your build isn't optimal.
