Wowhead AddOns (Client/Looter) Issue? Report here!

Same question about the error from line 1170. If you folks at Wowhead update the addon, it gets installed automatically, right? Or do I need to keep checking back?
Yes, if your addon files and the ones at Wowhead don't match, then they will automatically be downloaded and installed by the uploader. (Usually this is because Wowhead has updated the addon, but if you make a local change to prevent the error, this also means that it will be undone the next time you run the uploader.)

We're aware of the error and do plan to have it fixed soon. It's been less than a week so please allow us some time to fix unexpected conflicts that happen after a patch like this.
Tale, the Wowhead Client updates the looter for you, so as long as you're regularly running that once we fix this it should update automatically.
Thank you everyone.

I've been getting this error. Excuse the double post if anyone else has reported it.

There's some kind of issue with the client for the past month or so where its not uploading the data. It goes through the process, hangs at the end, and gives some kind of error that reads:
Wowhead is unable to process your upload at this time.
Please try again in a bit!
No matter how short / long a time a wait, I get the same error. If it helps, I'm using windows 10.

Hello.
been seeing this error quite frequently when I click a merchant. Functionality does not appear impaired - I can still clear my bags. any ideas as to cause? I have tried deleting the +Wowhead_Looter (and .bak) files with no change.

We'll have a fix for this soon, before the end of the week. Thank you!

The key for now is uploading frequently and not allowing the file size to grow too large.
I was uploading twice per week regularly until the problem appeared, I don't even know what made the file size grow so high suddenly.
Any hint what should we look for? Could my army of alts contribute to the file size issue?
Post by
Sas148
The file size increase is a result of new data being collected, like buildings, world quests and missions. Not something you've done or anything.

Hi there,
Is there any love for the Mac client these days? It seems to be out of date and not work very well.

Lupisfer,
Can you try doing the following and see if that helps?
Delete the +Wowhead_Looter.lua (and +Wowhead_Looter.lua.bak) file in your World of Warcraft/WTF/Account/<Account Name>/SavedVariables folder. Then, go relaunch World of Warcraft. Give it a minute, close it and try to upload again.
Thanks!

Cheers for the suggestion Sas, but I don't have Wowhead_Looter.lua there at all (fresh install of WoW on a new Mac).
Here's a screenshot of the client:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/hdzxwiegy4b4yll/Screenshot%202017-06-23%2019.28.41.png?dl=0
Two things:
1. The app itself is quite dark, which suggests it hasn't been updated in a while (in fact, the .app package is dated 2010...).
2. Actually logging in with the app itself seems quite buggy as it takes a few tries.
I am using a brand new 15" MacBook Pro 2017 with macOS 10.12.5 installed.
If it's any help, I am a software developer by trade, including working with macOS. If, as I suspect, the client seems to be a bit.. neglected... I could offer to make it more current :)
Cheers!

@Lupisfer
Did you make a realmlist.wtf file as written on the
download page
with the appropriate settings?

Haven't played in awhile, so needed to update all my addons. Launched looter and it it gets stuck at downloading latest client, eventually displaying the message the semaphore timeout period has expired. Tried retrying couple times to no avail. Also removed all traces of the looter and redownloaded the zip, but still run into same issue.
Running Win 8.1

Hi, I can't update the client, launching the program runs fine, then get the No such host is known error.
Deleted all the files from the system, redownloaded, same error message.
Running Windows 7.

Please try again and let me know if you still have issues. If you do, try to copy the log file over. Thank you!
