Character:
Tharvulius Harrison
Location
: Borean Tundra
"Ha! Bull's eye!" Tharvulius laughed in triumph that quickly turned into dread as he locked eyes with the valkyr. "In retrospect, probably not my best idea." The mage flourished his sword, decapitating a ghoul. "Well come and get me then!" He shouted at her.

Seeing the flying val'kyr scouting with it's covered head on the battlefield for something. Ithalwen launched five waves of arcane missiles. Each wave having four arcane projectiles. Like a swarm of bees the arcane arrows moved to the val'kyr.
Shortly there after a nearby ghoul ran towards her, as it spotted the arcane casting. Ithalwen pierced it's skull with the force of the undeads charge. Cracking it's cranium like a egg.

Character:
Balrick Brighthammer, Dominic Majunc
Location:
Borean Tundra
Dominic jolted and jumped in the saddle as he rushed to the blue haired woman still in the thick of the fighting. "This is dumb. This is so stupid!" he cried. His nag knocked aside a ghoul and Dominic pulled the reins, pausing the old horse by the blue haired woman. "Here!" he shouted, offering her his hand up.
Balrick saw her moment of the valkyr's distraction, and seized it. Setting his shoulders, widening his stance, with a roar Balrick rushed forward, smashing aside those few ghouls who still stood between him and the valkyr. As he ran, he yanked the trident out of his back. A rock rose up before him, just beneath the winged undead. He rammed the prongs of his weapon into the rock, tensed as the trident bent, then vaulted from it, into the air, and at her.
Character:
Granda Lusgrave, Vespa Dawnless
Location:
Borean Tundra
"Come. Vespa. Nustal," Granda said and strode after the faint pulse of light.
"
At last
," Vespa crooned as she floated after him. "
The living wait for me to hear my song
."

Evlyn Linder
Dragonblight
A faint plume of smoke, nigh invisible in the dusk, rose from the longhouse's single chimney. That, together with the warm light escaping from the cracks around the door, gave the building a welcoming appearance to a weary traveller. Linder followed the man, brushing the snow from her robes before she entered. Inside, a handful of crusaders sat by the fire, talking quietly. Evlyn envied their closeness to the hearth and the warmth it must provide them, but her tiredness took the upper hand and she bade her guide show her to a rack directly.

The crusader led her to a curtain separating half the house from the other and pushed it aside. Several bunked beds stood about, a few women already asleep beneath the blankets.
"Wherever suits you," he said.

Balrick, for a moment, laid where he had fallen. Then one hand clutched the earth and he rose again. His blue eyes burned at the valkyr in silent menace. He grabbed the trident and wrenched it out of the ground. Hefting it, testing the balance, he then hurled it at the valkyr with a sudden burst of strength.

Tharvulius watched Balrick throw the trident and summoned the last of his magic. He focused on the thrown weapon and chanted briefly. Tharvulius smiled as the weapon was wreathed in flames, then he fell to one knee, supporting himself with his sword.

Evlyn Linder
Dragonblight
Linder nodded a short thank you and then went directly to the empty rack farthest from the already sleeping women. Despite that she was very tired, sleep did not come instantly. Too many things spiralled in her mind... Sybil, ghouls, New Hearthglen, the inquisitor.
The morning came too early, as it always did even though the northern night was long and dark. Only the curtain separated the sleeping compartment from those crusaders who were already up and about, so the sound carried right through together with the smell of their cooking. Evlyn remembered at once that she hadn't eaten since last morning and, slipping into her robes, went to see if they might share their breakfast.

Miter Brighthammer, Sybil Duir

Dragonblight
The raven priest's arrival was followed by an immediate silence. Nearly two dozen pairs of eyes stared at her, silent and uncertain in their judgement. Miter was not present, leaving only the paladins gathered about the fire. One man had been playing a harmonica, and its shrill notes died away without the instrument ever leaving his lips, and only the crackle of the fire remained.

"Good morning", Linder attempted, summoning the little authority her voice possessed.

Silence continue to reign. Then, one of the crusaders stood and served some of the porridge that was broiling in the pot. "Here," he said, passing it to Evlyn.

"Thank you, I'm famished", she replied, taking the bowl and going to sit by the end of a table.

Having served the raven priest conversation ebbed in once more, as if the incident of her arrival had never happened and she had always been there. Scarlets spoke to one another and even the harmonica player resumed his wiry tunes while the wood of the longhouse creaked as they shrank to the cold battering outside and the frail warmth which glowed inside.

Ithalwen made a grimace as her attack failed. Her focus was disrupted as a ghoul leaped onto her and tried to eat a piece of her. After a wrestle of strength the spellblade managed to get the upper hand and fling it to the ground and stomp it's skull into a mess of roten skull and brain. But there was always one more undead. This one charged at her and made a bite into her neck. Thankfully Ithalwen managed to pierce it's torso and it stopped moving, but the elf lied trapped under it.

Evlyn Linder
Dragonblight
Evlyn ate in silence, relieved that they took no more notice of her. She was not in the mood (strangely enough) for prejudiced remarks. While she swallowed the porridge she came to think about the inquisitor and what he had promised to do with Sybil's body. Not knowing what to expect was mildly discomforting, but from what she had learned about the man so far it had potential to be something special.
The filling meal over with, she pushed away the bowl and rose to leave.

The door to the longhouse banged open and every eye turned to it. Miter pushed into the room, his dark eyes taking in each man and woman gathered about the fire. With him was a stern faced soldier in black armour trimmed with red, his face just visible from the crosspiece of his helm.
"Crusaders," he said, addressing the whole. Shutting the door behind him, he walked into the room. The light spilling from his shoulder pads filled the small interior with a warmth, one quite different from that of the open flame. Stepping atop a box he addressed the room. "I have come with a request for each of you. Your highlord," he nodded to the stern faced man in the black armour, "has given me permission to seek your aid in this. I am looking for soldiers to escort myself and young Evlyn there on a quest. A journey for a weapon which may turn the tide of this war indisputable in the favour of the Crusade.
"Soldiers of the Light. I seek the Cavern of Frostmourne."
Stunned silence filled every corner of the room.

Evlyn Linder
Dragonblight
Evlyn, too, was stunned. That name...
Suddenly, she remembered she was standing up, not quite the center of attention but nearly so, and held a dirty spoon in her one hand and a porridge-bowl in the other. Slowly, as not to make a sound, she placed them on the table. Then, conscious of every single crusader's look, she went to stand by the inquisitor. There was no chance to back out and keep the mission intact - the only way was forward.
Her green eyes now met those of the audience. Not a single one was moving.

Dragonblight
Miter's eyes flicked to the raven priest. He gave her the slightest hint of a smile, then he looked back to the crowd. He spread his arms before himself, and a light seemed to spread from around him and into the room, warm and comforting, soothing and potent.
"I journey to bleed the Lich King of his might. His power over the dead. From the records of the Scarlet Monastery to those held in the chapel of our misguided fellows the Argents, I have discovered the location of the cave, and more, some information few of us knew before.
"I have found the reason for the traitor prince's flight there. The Lich King was weakened by giving over Frostmourne, and his strength ebbed from a great wound made when he did so. I seek to capitalize on this weakness of his. Do not ask me how. It is not to be spoken of here. But should I reach the cave, I assure you, by my name, and my word as Inquisitor of the Crusade, I will deliver unto us a weapon against the Scourge like no other."
His voice filled the room. With confidence and power and strength of will. Those Crusaders present watched him with in-held breath, but said nothing. Not yet. Miter let his arms lower, and the glow which had filled the room and made it seem like a cathedral faded, leaving a man before them. Yet, somehow, in those moments of speaking, he had been more than a man.
"I await your decision. I will take any who wish to follow me, and will make no judgement on the courage of those who stay."
That did it. Resolve hardened in many and they looked between one another as if to ask who lacked the courage to follow this man. Stepping down from the box, Miter made his way to the door, followed a moment later by the highlord. The door shut behind him, and immediately the crusaders formed knots of hurried conversation. There was an electricity in the room there was not before. A strange sense of purpose and conviction, every word exchanged lacked doubt.
