Find out which trader it is for the day, buy the materials, turn in for primal spirits, turn in Spirits for Savage Blood and then buy the Blood bag off the Trading post trader because that bag still gives 50 gold.
Can probably get a bit more by converting GRs to Sumptuous Fur. It's still in demand, and goes for more than you can get from converting to Spirits -> Blood.

That's based on supply and demand though; you know no matter what you'll get the gold from the Blood Bags so they are a good alternative if you do not want to play the AH.

I just bought about 400 symptious fur for about 10,000 garrison resources from the trading post and sold them for about 8 felblight. Well, it's probably not a big deal, but it helps especially when the prices for felblight are expensive.

Things drastically differ based on server and region. Example.
Bought 2000 Fur for 3k gold on the AH. (no way am I using resources for it until I need to)
Felblight is currently 35g buyout each. Very cheap.

125 Herbs for a Savage Blood. 125 of something for 50g.
125 Sumptuous Fur goes for way more than 50g, usually netting close to 200g.

At 125 somethings that are traded for a Savage Blood to buy a bag that contains 50g, that gives you a value of 40 silver per something. That is nominally better than simply vendoring the base material, but in the case of herbs, the better choice would be crafting, flipping and vendoring Card of Omen - it yields a value of just over 2g per herb when averaged over a daily cooldown for Warpaint plus work orders - 5 times the value of a bag.

Pet dailys tannan once you get your builds ironned out take a hour nets about average of 5k per day. (some days no pets some only 5k pets but other days you get 10-30k pets)
Group farming find a rare world item with personal loot you each kill in mobs as fast as you can everyone gets to loot everyones kill. Farmed 4 bronze whelpings like this in a hour.
Or you can find niches like did you know engineering daily cooldown for mop still nets about 1k per day. (20k for pets 40k for mount ). Leatherworking mop cooldown now I dont sell these peices super fast but the pvp crafted from mop are fairly unique transmog. And can fetch a1k a piece. Also if you have old world recipes some pets gear fetch a pretty penny.
Farm old dungeons save transmog greens recipes. People often forget how often things you dont expect can be worth a fortune. Due to items being world drop or other things that litterally make them unfarmable. For example I got 2 cloak tailoring recipies while farming old heroics. Figured were not valuable since I had gotten two ended up selling for 8k because super rare due to randomness of world drop. Honestly having 200-300 auctions of greens only selling for 50-500 gold add up fast. Looking back on early wow days I have some regrets about vendored greens not realizing potential of mogs ect.
Tailoring is and always will be a proffesion with great potential bags bags bags netherweave normally is marginally better than vendor price. But having a tailor you can craft bags for 20g-40g a piece. (adds up) not to mention hexweave bags 1.5 per week 1-3k price depending on server.
Lastly if looking for a quick buck takes a little time but not much on every toon get mechanical chicken sells for 20-30k. All you have to do is a couple quest in different zones. Since its multiple zones from quest started via a drop item very few people actually get it. Also since its not cageable those that make mistake of using it then realize value can not cage and sell.
Most importantly if buying shopping and timing so often I sell items that were litterally 50% cheaper a day earlier. Or people must have items now first day new darkmoon fair pets from fishing came out. I went fished up five sets of them sold for 15k a piece to people that had to have them that day. Within a week they were selling for 1/10th that.
Dont stockpile I know seeing a huge number is awesome but each expansion it deflates in value. I personally invest in no longer obtainable items because value is in availability. Due to more people coming and going and losing accounts every day there is less. And it will follow if not exceed inflation.

So, you're spending a lot of time each month working like a devil, so you have access to the game to work like a devil, rinse and repeat.
Are you actually getting to enjoy any of the game, or are you spending all your time grinding out the gold?

I was thinking the same thing Eccentrica, but then I realized that that's about all I've done since February as well. I spent as much time as OP making gold just to see if I could make even more gold the next day/week/month.

Fair enough, but the vast majority of us saw the fastest way to profit was through the use of alts, the easiest way to profit AND get to play was through the use of alts, and we used our smarts to maximize GPH and get to experience life outside our Garrisons too.

Why not do both? That's pretty much what I've done for years :P

As have I. Sometimes I just tinker about for the joy of it, but if I'm going to invest time in gold production I spreadsheet six ways from Sunday to maximize GPH. Why work for 100g per hour when you can work for 1,000g per hour? There's an awful lot to do in this game and time is money my friend :)

You could ask the same of me :)

That's true to some extent but you did have goals outside of gold and worked very hard to achieve them. You also could have stopped at any point since you've been smart about your goldmaking and can now token yourself for years even if you never make another gold piece in profit. OP is making
just
enough to fund the next month, and the first one took months plural.

i sold all my steelforged essences and used all my truesteel ingots.. i had thousands of them but they are all spent.. so i assigned lantrestor and rulkain again so i can make some more truesteel ingots.. its great to finally be able to use my professions for gold making... so i guess the best way of making gold from here is by running the old cataclysm raids as well as selling steelforged essences... as well as using my followers with extreme scavenger to get some garrison resources to buy the mats... i wonder though if some of the old mop raids will be soloable with some of the gear from legion?

Don't bother with the Cata Raids now. Run ICC and ToC instead (WoLK Raids). They have been buffed. And yes, hopefully the MoP Raids will be soloable at 110.

on a sidenote... does anyone know if its possible to roll extreme scavenger on a follower? i have spent a bunch of
Follower Trait Retraining Guide
trying to reroll
Ariok
but the closest i got was the normal scavenger trait..
Post by
Eccentrica
It should be possible. It's now a selectable option for recruiting Inn followers. In all honesty, it's going to be faster and easier to recruit an extreme scavenger and gear/level it than trying to roll one unless you get extremely lucky with the reroll tokens, and I never do.

Well, i already have enough followers with extreme scavenger, plus they all have maximum item levels. Also, some followers have some really interesting traits, such as
Brute
. Anyway, i just came back, what's the best way to make gold these days? I see they got rid of treasure hunting and replaced it with a scavenger instead. It also seems like the price for a token has increased to a ridicilious 200,000 gold.

Do world quest at level 110 and do Order Hall quest at the same level. The Garrisons are pretty useless for gold grinding now.
