Xander Greyfang
Grimmwald Plains
Xander slowly made his way out of the carriage, eying the house curiously. He could feel the nature magics, stronger around the area near the forest.
"So, what, do we just kick the door down?" He asked, glancing to Irving.

Irving opened his mouth, tongue poised like a blade to deliver a cutting remark when Capricia stepped free and between them.
"I believe knocking is in order," she diplomatically if pointedly put in. Still scowling, Irving approached the door and knocked sullenly.

There was a clattering sound, the door creaking open somewhat. "What?" A raspy voice questioned, a dim eye peeking out through the crack at Irving.

Xander sighed, walking forward. "Good sir, I am-"
"You think I don't know?" The grungy man spat. "You think I can't smell it all over you? You're a weilder of the nature magics, but not ours." He creaked the door open more, his dirty, rat-like face grinning maliciously. "You're from beyond the woods, aren't you?"
"Well... yes." Xander nodded.
"HA! I knew it!" The witch cackled. "And I suppose you've found your magics neutered, torn away from you, or otherwise lack-luster?"
Xander nodded, unsure of where this was going. "Can you help me? I understand your kind have somehow accessed the Emerald Dream."
"Ooooh, we can help you alright." The man chuckled. "But I hope whatever your after is worth it." He turned, vanishing from the open doorway. "Don't just stand there gawking, come in, come in!"

Character
: Elizabeth 'Eliz' Ivanov
Location
: Grimmwald Plains
Elizabeth applied a light shade of scarlet lipstick, sucked it, and then placed the lipstick away. She didn't like it but she had to endure the pain of applying things for lower mortal women if she were to feast tonight.
She then turned and strode into the abandoned husk of a barn where she had agreed to meet her associate. The associate that would die for her on this same night. The associate that was standing inside the barn with the captain as agreed. All was going well.
As he noticed Eliz arrive, the member of the dark watch instantly bowed and stuttered, "H-here's th-the captain missus. I-I have done w-what you as-ask-asked."
"Thank you, Richard," Eliz waved her hand dismissively as the mortal grinned dreamily at her using his name. He was absolutely insufferable. Turning to the more important captain, she put on her most bewitching voice, her eyes glinting unnaturally and used her significant powers to bend the captain to her will, without him knowing of course, leaving the captain thinking he was dominant. It was difficult but not impossible for the twice-born.
"Sir, if you do not mind me calling you that, I grow tired of your constant forays across my land. Cease your hunt for the Shrouded Council I beg you, lest you ruin my livelihood more. Your men show no care for me and if you wish to gain a few extra coins in your pocket, please, stop pestering those beasts. They are wasting the taxes of us good people."
The Captain's eyes twinkled at the mention of the money, he too tired of spending every night looking for evidence on how to kill the vampires and proof of their crimes. And if he got a few extra coins as well he wouldn't be adverse to breaking his contract. He had loyalty definitely, but not enough to spend every night in the cold searching for proof that would never be found. "How much my lady? For a few gold coins I'll stop my forays immediately, and then some."
Drawing her purse out, Eliz drew out half a dozen gold coins before putting her purse back in its rightful place and smiling submissevely. "Thank you good sir, and if you would leave Richard and I alone for a moment, that would pit the cherry on the top."
The captain left and Eliz turned back to the now worthless Dark Watch soldier. She had no use of her powers over the mind for this wretch who would feed her and feed her well. Opening her mouth, her fangs slotted out and the soldier had no time to scream or reach for his weapon before she was onto him and feeding from his neck, the fresh blood delighting her. The last time she'd drunk human blood had seemed such a long time ago, and now that she had also aided House Ivanov while devouring her favourite liquid was even more of a success.

Character
: Wilhelm Meyer
Location
: Grimmwald City
The city on the inside was doing a lot worse job living up to the name compared to the daunting exterior, Meyer decided. It was not the most cheerful place he had ever been to, alright, but it still was very much a settlement where people lived their day to day lives. Wilhelm smiled under the broad brim of his freshly acquired hat - if he followed the voice of reason, he was bound to blend in seamlessly.
Character
: Hector Ulysses Balogh
Location
: Grimmwald Forest
The raiding party numbered less that two dozen and was led by a truly massive troll, clad in a grotesque patchwork leather garb Hector immediately identified as human skin. Several shriveled heads were dangling off of the savage's belt, and his swamp green face was daubed in red streaks. Hector decided to take offense to such waste of the scarlet nectar.
The trolls were still unaware of the three twice-born set upon them, but their bestial instincts told them something was deeply wrong here. They formed a defensive position, shaking ever so slightly in anticipation of the unknown. Only their brute of a leader seemed to be welcoming a fight.
Hector grinned. He would savor pulling the thing apart limb by limb. All he had to do now was wait for the other two to get in their positions.

Xander Greyfang
Grimmwald Plains
The inside of the home was rather bare, looking quite run down and abandoned. Xander couldn't imagine the witch actually lived within.
Regardless, he followed to the back of the house, a barren living room, save the flickering fireplace. "Look at them." The harvest witch commanded, gesturing to the flames.
Xander stared, slowly realizing it was not the flames, but the logs. The insides were a sickly green, glowing brightly as the fire tried to consume them.
"They were cut from the forest, tainted by the demonic magics that made them. But they can be purged." The dirty man explained.
"I think I understand." Xander nodded. "And by purifying them, they strengthen our connection to the Dream."

Velnessia observed the city from within, far to dark and was far from the prefered bright and golden city of Silvermoon that she called home. It was as if the city have always been a place of bitter grimnes to earn it's name and to live by it so.
The elf brushed hair that have began to block the sight of one of her fel-tainted eyes. once the finger tutched the dead cells that made up the hair, it colored itself darker, away from the crimson like flames that looked far from natural and stoped at a dark, chestnut brown color. Her actual original haircolor, as she used illusionary magics for her amusment to alter her haircolor.

Xander Greyfang
Grimmwald Plains
Xander stared at the fireplace intently, watching the flames ripple along the wood.
Fire was a part of nature, just as everything else. The flames grew, shifting from orange to a bright red. The druid raised his arm, the air becoming alight with the sickly glow of Fel magics. Gripping the air tightly, he concentrated, closing his eyes and whispering under his breath.
The flames grew in intensity, changing to a light purple and washing away the Fel in the air, creating an odd contrast as Xander moved his hand closer to the fire.
The air crackled, nature magics sparking and knocking away green flames that tried to lick at the druid's arms. "Amelia..." He finally spoke, the air tearing with a sound like a roaring ocean as he pulled his arm down. The purple glow overtook him a moment, slowly settling.
Held in his hand, one end pressed against the wooden floor, was a massive staff, quite a bit longer than he was tall. It was made of thick wood, dull metal creating six-sided shapes which encircled either end like handguards. Wrapped along the center was a green ribbon, sparkling momentarily with arcane magics that faded as quickly as they came.
The flames returned to normal, the wooden logs crackling as they quickly turned black; crumpling under the fire's heat.
"You saw it, didn't you?" The witch asked, grinning hysterically.
"Yes." Xander nodded, "This place is worse than I feared..."
"Was the price worth the reward?"
"Yes." The druid replied, without the slightest hesitation, making his way away from the fire. "Thank you."

"The fel are they talking about?" Irving muttered, watching the two speak to each other in low tones from the other end of the room.
"Irving," Capricia sighed in exasperation, only to smile encouragingly at the druid as he approached. "Ah, Xander. Is that what you came for?" she asked, pointing towards the staff he now wielded
Havoc gave that a moments thought. Then, he grinned and shook his head. "No, no. I think not.'
