... the game has flat out stated that the Forsaken's ultimate goal is to wipe out all life on Azeroth.

Think Putress, but he was a rebell.

Not so much as wipe it all out, as make the rest of the world like themselves; you see that all through the questing from Silverpine to Arathi, and again during the battle for Anderhol.

B: Even if it's Sylvanas' goal, that does not mean that it is a unified goal for all of the Forsaken.
C: How do you know she wants to take over the whole world, and not just the kingdoms of Lordaeron?

I don't, as there isn't any solid evidence from Blizzard that the entire Forsaken race is goose stepping along behind Sylvanas for this. But, considering what we see the Forsaken doing, and in lands that are not part of Lordaeron, such as Arathi and Alterac, it's not like it is a hard thing to consider...after all, when you kill the Prince of another country, and then bring him back as a Forsaken well....

Arathi and Alterac were part of the lands of Lordaeron, though.

The news of your victory satisfies me, <class>... a rare sensation. The Dark Lady herself has mused that our conquest of Lordaeron may be the only way the Forsaken can find true satisfaction, and pehaps even relief.
Note that this is an Arathi Highlands quest.

Nope, Arathi was the Kingdom of Stromgarde, whereas Alterac only became a part of Lordaeron after the united forces of Lordaeron and Stromgarde overthrew the treacherous orc-loving Lord Perenolde.

Whole continent was called Lordaeron, but Lordaeron didn't control it much like the US doesn't control all of the North American continent.
Also, I believe the wiping out all life was said in the WoW manual. I'll try and track it down.

Yeah and in the original game Azeroth was the name of the entire southern continent where Stormwind was.
However...Sylvanas still had the Prince of Stromgarde killed and raised up as a Forsaken; they committed regicide at the least and then forced the dead Prince to act against the remaining members of his people. I really can't wait till the day that Danath returns to Azeroth and stomps the Forsaken forces with the Sons of Lothar and reclaim their kingdom.

Yes, but for whatever reason, Sylvanas and other Forsaken want to conquer "Lordaeron." See above. You can argue that they don't have the same right to the Arathi Highlands as they do to the Kingdom of Lordaeron, but that doesn't necessarily imply that they want to conquer the whole world. Maybe they do, but we shouldn't assume so prematurely.
However...Sylvanas still had the Prince of Stromgarde killed and raised up as a Forsaken; they committed regicide at the leastNo she didn't. Galen was killed by adventurers to get Trol'kalar for the Darkspears.

I stand corrected on how he died...but the rest still stands.
And the Forsaken may not want to, but from the actions Sylvanas has taken shows some megalomania there.

Sure, as I said above, they have no right to Arathi. However, at least in the present, their plans only extend to the border of the continent of Lordaeron.

And be damned to the people already living there eh?
Edit: Which is where irony kicks in massively.

Look, I'm not saying that the Forsaken are all pure and well-meaning. Yes, they are stealing land and killing innocent people. I know that. But let's at least look at it they way it is, rather than making overblown claims that they want to exterminate the whole world.

I'm not making that particular claim though, at least, not about the Forsaken themselves; their Queen now, that one I fully expect to want to bring the Plague of Undeath to the entire planet.

Until a wild Aleria appears. Perfect redemtion act to remind the queen of her past and her morals she used to posses. She does still care for her older sister, or atleast in TBC when we give her the necklace that makes her sing.
