Call me a troll, but i kinda miss the loot dramas in LFR

Remember when there used to be massive arguments over who needrolled what, the drama and massive abuse? Besides lockboxes in LFR, all lootdrama is gone, and arguments over lockboxes seems more like people arguing for arguments sake, most people dont even bother "speak up" in raidchat over a ninjaed needrolled lockbox, and those who do, i get the impression that they just argue because they want to argue, not because they are genuinely upset.
Yes, i hated the LFR-ninjas, the "roll for a buddy-needs", and the abuse and drama over loot. And i never ninja anything myself. But now i kinda miss it. LFR is just a way to gear up, experience content, and something to practice in now. I think fondly of heated arguments about a piece that dropped two bosses ago, the drama and the explosive emotions that used to be the "essence" of LFR.
The only way to experience something similar nowaday is to form a tradechat pug, or join a guild with (often surprisingly skilled, gameplay-vice) drama-loving egomaniacs.
So to not be like a blog-post i also have a few questions:
a) Do you miss the LFR lootdramas of Cataclysm?
b) Do you remember any particular moment of loot-drama/sinister ninjaing and want to share it? The more heated, low, or downright dumb drama-moment the better.

....If you think WOW is boring....take up skydiving or something (just kidding!)
I dont think wow is boring at all, quite the opposite :) I just find myself thinking that WOW (LFR in particular) lost most of the player-induced drama. I thought that would be a good thing, but it turned out that i miss it.
The massive rage, the squabbling, the name calling, the "ffs´s", the abuse. I didnt understand just how fun those arguments could be to observe back then, but now that they are almost gone- i want them back.

I get what you mean, but now all we have to put up with is people complaining that they didn't get anything and they hate this new way. no matter what way people get loot in lfr there is always going to be someone that has to complain, whine or argue.
It is actually really annoying when you just want to go into LFR get what you came for without the need for people slagging each other off.

If you miss drama, level an alt through LFG. The low level dungeons where people can need anything and everything are full of drama.
I personally don't miss the old system. LFR is much more efficient now, I think. I will say that besides the loot-hogging drama, I have also seen people (and on one case been the recipient of) who got an upgrade, but noticed it was a much bigger upgrade for someone else, and just give them the loot to be nice.

I kinda miss the old way, seeing what dropped for everyone and hoping I'd roll high against the competition. Plus, if X dropped 3 weeks in a row, and I lost the last 2 weeks, I was guaranteed the item. Now, I have no idea if I'll get *anything* other than gold.

Yeah, I was teaching my girlfriend how to play WoW, and at the time I felt that doing dungeons was the fastest way to level up. She picked a druid, and we were having fun until level 15 when you're allowed to que up. She was kicked out of her first dungeon before the first boss; all over loot drama. She got kicked out of her second and third attempts, as well, only in those I was also forced out for "helping the ^&*!ty druid steal everything". She actually ended up crying, they were so brutal to her, and she stopped playing WoW for a week after that. Now, we just do PvE quests and battlegrounds until higher levels.
The funniest thing about arguing at that low level, though, is how you tend to outgrow the loot within a day of playing. I remember one dungeon where I got a new pair of gloves that was an upgrade, only to get an even better pair on the last boss of the same dungeon.
I, personally, think that kind of stuff is fun, and I have thicker skin than my beloved, so that drama is kind of like a trial-by-fire to me to see how good you are at dealing with silly people. I think the new LFR system is great and I can't wait to really try it out as I get closer and closer to qualifying for raids. The math shows it's just as "good" as the last one, just it's more impersonal which kind of makes it more accessible for a broader audience. That's an improvement, but personally I wouldn't mind if we went back to the "classic" hellhole.

Some of the loot drama was funny... but only when happening to other people.
My favorite was when people tried to say ´why´ someone was a ninja by just pulling up crap out of their butts... like trying to convince someone that a 20 ilvl upgrade was useless for them because mastery was not a good stat for their spec.
And then you would have a 30 min argument between everyone in the raid about mastery for that spec.. and nobody going back to the fact that it was STILL a 20 ilvl upgrade.
Some of it was funny on occassion, but the vast majority of it was just annoying, and the whole guild-stack thing just sucked.
The new system is far better, and in 5.2, the lucky-charm fail bags have a chance to have something in them.. which will make it feel better.

The amount of loot i've lost to people playing a different role in the past few days alone is staggering. So I'm just hoping they'll make LFD the same as the previous LFR system. Where you get a roll advantage is you're playing said role.
One paladin tank saw fit to need on every plate item that dropped. Tank, DPS and healer. And worst of it was, he won everything. It's really annoying to see the DPS items you queued for go to someone who doesn't even have the spec.
And yes, i asked him politely if i could have them....but alas.

While i do not miss the exact system that was used in DS, i do miss an option to gift pieces to other players.
When i run LFR on my Hunter, i nearly always tend to get some gear. Thing is i don't need the gear at all, i just go in there with some guildies to have a bit of fun. And i feel a bit bad when i get for the third time, when the guy next to me could have used it.
That the system assigns loot is fine. It was no fun trying to roll against a halfway premade back in DS. But i would love a system like in dungeons where items are tradeable for the next 2 hours.

I have heard that part of the reason for the current system was because some guilds complained about this ability to trade things. LFR was getting to the point of low-level dungeons were a lot of guild chat was filled with ´ hey guildie, can you run me through this...´. Only it was turning into.. ´hey, 8 mages, can you do LFR with me, a boss drops bracers that are 13 ilvls higher than I have´. That is obviously extreme example, but GMs were getting put on the spot in regards to disciplining or rewarding guildmembers for ´not helping´ and members were getting forced into doing a lot of LFRs they really didn´t want to.
