When to jump into tanking in Cata content....

Hi all,
I've decided to start levelling my DK tank again, as it's the only role I currently don't have at max level. She's been sitting at level 70 since ... oooh... midway through cata, I think, perhaps earlier, so it's taken me the last week or so to relearn all the moves and now I've tanked my way to level 80 through random dungeons.
So now, I'm sitting at level 80, I'm doing a little casual questing in Hyjal and running some WotLK heroics, but I really want to get into the Cata dungeons. Thanks to some greens that dropped for me very early on, I have the ilvl to queue for them but I don't know when is sensible to start. I just really can't face questing for most of the Cataclysm zones, and to be honest, if this is going to be my tanking character I really want as much practice as possible.
It's all been a bit of a /faceroll so far up to level 80 (and into heroics) but I know that it will probably get very difficult very quickly.
I know the mechanics of the Cataclysm dungeons well, I've played through them with 5 dps and 3 healers, but never as tank, though I've read up about tanking them. My question is this: when is sensible to jump in to the queue? Shall I wait until I've replaced all of my WotLK gear? Shall I give a few a go and apologise profusely if everyone dies? What's a sensible ilvl / hp / avoidance / whatever I should aim for before attempting?
I ask this because I remember the horrific jump from WotLK to Cata dungeons that my first healer experienced, and it wasn't pleasant for anyone involved :) Luckily at that time every in the dungeon was learning too so it wasn't so bad. I'd like to not screw up so badly this time round :)
tl;dr:
DK tank just hit 80. How much gear etc is sensible before I launch into Cata dungeons?
Thanks for any help :)

Blood DK tanks -> Easy. I leveled up at 55 - 85, then tanked normals/heroics, started doing LFRs, until I was able to join Dragon Soul Normal.. We cleared it a lot of times, but it was alright, atleast you need positive guild, which is willing to teach you if something is wrong. You don't need a lot of experience, tanking easy, atleast for MsV 4/6 bosses... I ended content in normal 4/6 MsV, don't know anything more. Still, tanking is fun, and everything depends on you and other tank!
And, if you'll hit 226 ilvl, straightly jump into Cata's dungeons, because you won't die, if healers won't fail, - you'll survive a lot from psychical damage dealers, - because of your mastery shield. You shouldn't worry about it until 90, - when every stat depends..

Thanks, I think its just a confidence issue because I remember how much hassle starting Cata dungeons was with my healer a couple of years ago. I'll try just jumping in and seeing what happens :)
