It's because it's a polearm. Blizzard doesn't want us to duelwield the coolness of polearms.

I guessed that much, but absolutely nothing in the game tells you that. The spear's not unique or unique-equipped, it's categorized as "Two-Hand", and Titan's grip says it lets you dualwield "Two-Hand" weapons. Lame.
Actually, I'm pretty sure that Titan's grip specifically says two handed axes, swords and maces.

more importantly why would you even WANT those, they have agil.

Because its a item level 463-471 weapon available at level 85, which means you'll never have to replace your weapon while leveling through Pandaria, until you reach 90 and find something with Strength.
Even with Agility, the weapon damage is
insane
compared to other weapons available at level 85.

Actually, considering it has agility, you'll probably replace it in Kun-Lai or Dread Wastes a couple levels before 90.
Or you could just make tourself a couple Spirit Blade Decimators. Those things are beastly. (The lvl 90 version even moreso.)

Titan's Grip
Requires Warrior (Fury)
Requires level 38
Requires One-Handed Axes, Two-Handed Axes, One-Handed Maces, Two-Handed Maces, One-Handed Swords, Two-Handed Swords, Fist Weapons, Daggers
Allows you to dual-wield a pair of two-handed weapons.
Requires One-Handed Axes, Two-Handed Axes, One-Handed Maces, Two-Handed Maces, One-Handed Swords, Two-Handed Swords, Fist Weapons, Daggers
Even the tool tip shows that you can not use pole-arms. It lists specifically what you can use. For the love of Barry's cat. Read your FULL tool tips, not just the abbreviated ones that pop up when you hover over an ability!

My justification is that it doesn't have the word "Two-Handed" in it, we need some "Two-Handed Polearms" for titan's grip.

Can't dual-wield staves either.
And it makes more sense. A two-handed axe/mace/sword is only possible to dual-wield, because it is just a heavy/larger version of one-handed weapons.
Staves and polearms aren't really something you can dual-wield. How would you dual-wield a spear? You don't. Even if that would have been ridiculously awesome.
But if they every go that way, I would love to see dual-wielding BOWS!
