I'll go first:
1) The zeppelin between Org and Thunder Bluff could benefit tremendously from a loading screen
2) client-side handling of Darkmoon Faire games. These are borderline impossible for people with laggy connections.(##RESPBREAK##)12##DELIM##Sas148##DELIM##Keep it organized if you want this thread to stay unlocked.

1) No more mob-tagging.
I'm done killing someone else's mobs. Either give both credit for the kill, or give it to the player who did the most damage, but not to the guy that casts his instant spell the second he sees you're pulling.
2) Make fishing more interesting.
Sure the rewards are a little better, but fishing is still the same boring timesink it's always been. Cast, wait, click...over and over. I'm thinking something along the lines of the new farm. You get a fishingboat and set some nets that can pick up the next day. Also, make the damn bobber targeted (like aoe), so you don't have to re-cast several times for it to actually land in the pool.
3) Smartphone Pet Battle App.
I would love if Blizzard made this. I'd certainly pay the extra armory sub for this again.
4) Hunter pet mounts.
Devilsaur mount, anyone?

Giving it to the player who did the most damage to the mob just makes it worse, especially while leveling if another person does more damage on YOUR mob due to gear / popping cds for more dps. IMHO.

Tagging works pretty well.
Few things:
No one's forcing you to kill someone else's mobs. Just don't continue attacking them.
Most damage? Doesn't make much sense either. Someone could easily out-damage on your mob, and you'd lose it. Also, you know, those 2 other roles that also exist.
That little last quip about instant cast tagging: Well, it sounds like
they're on the quest
(or killing the rare, etc) as well. Every class has ways to easily tag mobs, you should look into it if that irritates you.
It really sounds like you're irritated about not being able to tag rare spawns or something like that. It'd be pretty
terrible
if people could simply out-damage others on them and get the kill instead. Also, sharing loot on kills that the person with the tag put the effort into? No. Huge no.
-----
My suggestion:
Legendary transmogrification
Yes, but with a major cooldown or other limiting factor to avoid anything and everything sword looking like
Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker
. I'd suggest a monthly CD with a somewhat-high price for something this cosmetic (such as ~1K-2K)
per weapon
. Though I'd also like to see transmogs such as these to be transferable to your alts.

Aggro is forcing me to kill someone else's mob. I can stop attacking all i want, the mob's still hitting me. When i'm doing dailies and someone tags a mob with a weak spell the second i hit my stonger spell, i'll get aggro, leaving me to kill his mob.
Most damage? Doesn't make much sense either. Someone could easily out-damage on your mob, and you'd lose it. Also, you know, those 2 other roles that also exist.
Fair enough. Just "thinking out loud".

Every class easily tagging mobs is kinda what makes this possible in the first place. I can do it too, easy enough. But if i happen to tag a mob, but someone else gets aggro on it because he attacked at the same time or has Righeous Fury on or whatever,
i'll actually help them kill it
. Seems only fair to me. I tagged it, so i kill it.
Also, I don't mind "tagging" if we're both on the same mob and we happen to pull at the same time. That happens, there's lag involved etc.. But i've seen several people
intentionally
tagging mobs at just the right time and then moving on while leaving someone else (myself obviously included) to do the work.
It really sounds like you're irritated about not being able to tag rare spawns or something like that. It'd be pretty

I don't care about rares and killed plenty by just "stumbling" into them. I'm talking dailies and leveling. People making sure it's you who kills their mob so they don't have to. Happens more often than you'd think. I notice it a lot doing the Golden Lotus dailies.
But sure, out-damage is probably not be the best solution. Just thinking out loud.
Also, sharing loot on kills that the person with the tag put the effort into? No. Huge no.
Worked well enough in Guild Wars 2 though. Contributing = reward.

How about only making them moggable if you obtained them in their expansion?

I see the mods have already noticed this thread, but wouldn't this fit more into the official forums, where it would actually have a chance of being seen by Blizzard?

No, I think it's fine to speculate and chat about the things we'd like to see. I wouldn't worry too much about the word "suggestion" in the title.

3) get rid of Death By Disconnect. If someone gets disconnected, keep them in the game for 2 seconds, not 20. Allowing players to "cheat" death in such a manner is VASTLY preferable to killing them when they don't deserve it. I once drowned to death literally inches away from non-fatigue-inducing water because of this idiotic function.
4) make it impossible to "accidentally" kill critters. Make critters immune to AoE effects. Don't allow them to be auto-targeted when a player presses 1-9 with no target selected.
5) Cross-realm mail and cross-realm auction houses, at least for some items (i.e., we need cross-realm AH for iron and fel iron, but not so much for Ghost Iron). Get rid of cross-faction mail and paid faction transfers; allow characters to switch factions by grinding for enemy-faction rep instead.
6) Remove the "bind on pickup" attribute from white quest rewards and/or let players transmogrify non-soulbound items. I need to take armory photos of my Forsaken toons wearing gloves that look like Monkey Handler Gloves.
7) Braided Boarskin Belt should be blue instead of yellow. I need to take an armory photo of one of my Forsaken toons wearing a belt that looks like Stormwind Infantry Belt.
8) Create a "find skinnable corpse" option to go along with Find Herbs and Find Minerals.
9) When was the last time you touched Dark Iron or Enchanted Thorium? How about Felsteel or Hardened Adamantite? Titansteel? These need to be made more relevant, and more specifically, the items that require them need to be made relevant. The only way I can really see this working is if BC and Wrath are made "free but optional", and players are segregated by expansion pack for PvP and LFD/LFR purposes.
10) Modular downloading of the client. The ability to play the game while downloading it is pretty revolutionary, but why are players who only have Starter accounts downloading parts of Outland, Northrend, and Pandaria before they've even finished downloading Kalimdor and the Eastern Kingdoms? Downloading the client should be like downloading a torrent, where players can choose what they want and what they don't, and the things that they want can be assigned low or high priorities.
11) Add a "can't I just skip this crap?" option to the Death Knight, Goblin, Worgen, and Panda starting zones. Seriously.

The current system could certainly use some work. I'm just having trouble thinking of a good alternative.
Also, make the damn bobber targeted (like aoe), so you don't have to re-cast several times for it to actually land in the pool.
YES!

Once we have a decent list, we should definitely appoint an ambassador to take our suggestions to the official forums.

I want a Battleground with 3 sides instead of 2. Alliance vs Horde Vs Kobolds. 15 people of each faction queues, 5 alliance characters and 5 horde characters temporarely forms the third faction - the Kobold side. They get temporarely transformed to kobolds, and can only communicate with other Kobolds.
All sides fight over 5 bases, Arathi Basin-style, but completely chaotic due to the third faction, and in a underground setting with maze- like networks of tunnels.
Special achievs and rewards for being on the Kobold side.
This BG should be called "Kobold trenches" or something and be sitauted underground beneath Elwynn Forest. The Horde incentitve for fighting there is to establish a foothold near Stormwind.
This BG would also make people shut up about implementing a third faction, since it actually implements a third faction, even if it is just for one BG.

Basically, getting your ass beat? close client... enable cheat mode is what you are implying.
How? That doesn't make any sense at all. "Cheating" would be... I dunno... instantly leveling your character to 90 and giving yourself a million gold and Exalted with every faction. Getting rid of DBD wouldn't even stop Huntards from three-shotting you in PvP.
Make a new rule because you can't play your class properly
Playing a class properly has nothing to do with accidental critter deaths.
This solves what?
Liquidity issues, of course! Low-pop and even medium-pop realms suffer from a severe shortage of buyers and sellers of many things. A lack of buyers and sellers is bad for an economy, mmmkay?
On one of my realms I can buy Fel Iron x 20 for 50g on another its 200g so do I take it to a neutral AH?
Why the hell would you do that?
Cross faction mail... on one hand you try to address the economy and on the other introduce a sure fire method of destroying it.
Yes, changing the method by which people transfer heirlooms from one faction to another will destroy the economy.
LOLWUT
Because you level skinning by scavenging?
You totally can. Believe it or not, many players kill skinnable mobs but don't have skinning, so they leave rich fields of skinnable corpses in their wake.
This is along the lines of lets make classic servers.
If you were there you experienced it., now if you want to twink or transmog fine, but those times are gone and nothing will bring them back.
Who cares about "those times"? I'm asking for specific materials and recipes to be made relevant. I'm saying "You know how there used to be a reason for farming Sunfury Signets to learn how to make Enchanted Adamantite armor, and now there isn't? We should be given a reason again."
Because screw people who only want a freebie, but hey if you want to play our awesome game then it's ready to go in all it's entirety as soon as you buy it.

Would you buy a burger and fries and settle for just the burger because the fries were on hold just in case you didn't want them? of course not!
Here's a different metaphor:
I order a burger and fries. I'm told that it will take an hour. The restaurant COULD work exclusively on the burger first, give it to me after only a half-hour of waiting, and then get to work on the fries, which I'd get after another half-hour. Instead, they want to work on both at the same time, and it will be a whole hour before I can eat anything at all.
Here's another one, not quite as good as the other:
My laptop only has enough hard drive space for the burger, not the fries. It's theoretically possible to play with only the burger and never touch the fries, but the restaurant won't let me eat either one unless I download both, which is impossible because it's a 20GB hard drive.
Add a "can't I just skip this crap?" option to the Death Knight, Goblin, Worgen, and Panda starting zones. Seriously.
Where does that end though?
At the end of the Death Knight, Goblin, Worgen, and Panda starting zones. Seriously.
How much more obvious could the answer have been?
I've got 22 toons above 80, Skipping is in my interest but introducing thousands of people who have no idea how to play their toons (like you and your hunter) into my random groups is not in my interest
I don't think you'd have to worry about any level 10 Pandas or level 58 DKs showing up in your level 80+ dungeons and battlegrounds.(##RESPBREAK##)12##DELIM##Sas148##DELIM##I find it unfortunate that you clearly saw my warning in the post you just quoted and yet went and conducted the same behavior yourself. Check your email.
What the hell are you blathering on about? --
Your metaphor sucks. -- Here's one that's kind of stupid, but still isn't as stupid as yours:

At the end of the Death Knight, Goblin, Worgen, and Panda starting zones. Seriously.Assuming you have actually understood what he wanted to say, probably not. Once you give people the option to skip 1-15 or 55-58, they want to skip 1-70, 1-80, or even 1-85.
However, to elaborate on the suggestion, I'd be for an option to "phase out" of starter areas, but
without a level increase
. Goblins and Worgen could level from 1 at another race's starter zone, and DKs could quest in Winterspring or Blasted Lands before heading to Outland.
Pack Hobgoblin
would be granted around 10-15, to disencourage use of level 1 Goblins as easy bank chars, but the Worgen racials "learned" during the starter zone could be given right away. DK talents for level 15, 30 and 55 are probably available at character creation anyway after 5.0 (assumption)
The Pandaren starter area... it's new content for a race that is popular anyway, I don't think it should be avoidable until, say, 6.3

My suggestion: Remove faction discounts for flying. Perhaps reduce the price accordingly. The point being, everyone starting a non-goblin alt will be seeing a lot of the same quests leveling if they want to do it solo, as they want to get full rep with Orgrimmar/Stormwind before 60.
Post by
Nulgar
Do some dungeons with the respective tabard equipped and you're Exalted before 30.

DarkFenris
You know, instead of a bunch of meaningless whining and complaining about how the game can be made even easier, just for you, this thread could have been a better discussion, something along the lines of "If there was one thing you would change within WoW, it would be...".
But then it'd only be an interesting roundtable if there were creative ideas thrown out, rather than the typical "I wanna skip through this 'cause it's boring" or "Make <insert game mechanic> more fair (by which I mean make it so I 'win' at it without trying)".
Post by

@ Nulgar: When you can solo dungeons, you get about 1/3 the rep for it, Nulgar. And it's spamming low-level dungeons for a very peculiar reason, anyway.
@ DarkFenris: All right, then. What's your big idea?

@ Nulgar: When you can solo dungeons, you get about 1/3 the rep for it, Nulgar. And it's spamming low-level dungeons for a very peculiar reason, anyway.Huh? The only dungeons that give crap rep are the regular 1-60's; if you wear a city tabard in the Wrath and Cata ones, you get full rep even if you go back at max level. And as Nulgar said, it laughably easy to get Exalted with a city rep by level 30; you can have all of the mounts before you hit level 60 just by doing the zones for their respective rep. Do all of Teldrassil to Stonetalon and you'll have Darnassus exalted in no time, and so on and so forth.
