Hi! I wasn't sure where to put this post (Professions, Macros, etc..), so I dropped it here. Mods, if this post doesn't go here, please move it to where it belongs! Thank you!
So this was recommended to me for my milling and I decided to try it out. Got it from the curse website, so I assume it's updated. When I type in '/tsm destroy' the Destroyer window does not show up at all, like it says it should in the guide. I have the core addon but only the Destroyer module, do I need the other modules for it to function?

I'll give it a try tonight. Can you post the link where you downloaded the addon, just to make sure I have the same one as you?

Surely! I got it from the Curse website over
here
. =)
I had assumed I didn't need to have ALL the modules, since the guide said there were a lot that were optional, so I only grabbed the one I needed along with the core addon.

Well, mine shows up with
/tsm destroy
. Are you getting any LUA error when you enter the slash command? If you're not sure, check if you have the proper checkbox checked in
Interface > Help > Display Lua errors
.
/tsm
should print out all available slash command with TSM and its running modules. If it prints the destroy command and you're not getting any Lua error, that probably means the destroy window is out of the screen. Deleting its SavedVariable file will probably fix it but you will have to reconfigure TSM or if there is any command to reset its position (
freset
doesn't work - only for the Core window).

I will give it a shot when WoW comes back from maint. today. I couldn't do it yesterday since I wasn't on. Will let you know how it goes! And thank you!

Okay, so I logged in and turned on the LUA Error display and tried /tsm destroy and there are no errors popping up. It just says in chat that the 'destroyer has risen' and I still have no Destroyer window. I tried finding the 'saved variable' file but I'm not sure where it's located in their folders.

It's in the WTF folder
*wow_root*
/WTF/Account/
*account_name*

*server*

SavedVariable

There is one for global configuration and one for caracter specific.

Well, I deleted the savedvariables as suggested (I even deleted the addons and re-downloaded them/re-installed them) and when I use /tsm destroy command it still won't show up. My LUA errors display is on and no errors showed up when I opened the TSM panel or tried the destroyer command (even going into the panel and clicking the button to display the destroyer didn't work).
Anyway, it's no big deal, I just wanted something a little easier when milling. Thank you so much for your help, I really appreciate the time you took to help me.

Try sliding the UI scale settings to something less than 1. 0.7 or so should do it.
The problem I had was that the destroyer window was showing up just offscreen, under other UI elements.

Thank you JemiS, that did it! We have a ridiculously huge monitor and I don't run WoW at that rez (too large for me), but when I maximized the window, there it was, down at the bottom. So I moved it up and hopefully that's where it'll stay.

I can trade my 24" 16:10 monitor with yours! :P

I had the same problem on that size monitor, I don't think it's a size thing. Just that the default position for the Destroyer somehow got set under UI elements.
I find I get faster/easier use from a self-made macro for prospecting/milling, however. I can't seem to get the timing right on the Destroyer.

I don't have any problem with my 24" monitor. Where did you see I had problem? :/

JemiS
I don't see where I said you did have any problem.
I said I had the same issue the OP is reporting with the same size monitor you have.

Oh I thought you were referring to a specific monitor size and as I am the only one who talked about a specific size, that got me confused a bit I think. =)

I will say something about TSM here, they are pushing people to use their desktop application and have broken their auction scanning in game in AuctionDB, seemingly on purpose to push people into using their desktop app that installs
ON YOUR COMPUTER, not in the game
. I contacted them about privacy concerns over two weeks ago and they have not responded telling me what info their application actually sends to them about me.
They have refused to respond
. This makes me think they are gathering information from users' computers to sell and quantify and put in databases and violate your privacy.
Do not use TSM.
