How to get fast gold

Requirements: a character where you want the gold on.
This trick is very easy and doesn't require any thinking, only the patience to do it.
Step 1: Make a new character and sell your starting clothes, send the money to your character where you want the gold on.
Step 2: Remove the new character and create a new one, repeat step 1.
You should have some fast gold if you have patience, I did this and made like 48 silver an hour as level 1! That is like 1 gold in 2 hours, but I know how to do it correct so for beginners it should be like 21-30 silver an hour. I hope many new players will read this so they will stop asking 1 or 2 gold coins to level up their professions or anything else. But this guide does also help high level and experienced players who are bored of grinding and/or using the auction house.
Have a nice day and enjoy your gold.

Just as a comparison, a level 1 could also pick up mining and herbalism, and in that same 2 hours not only level from picking nodes, but have 3-5 stacks of each. On most servers, those stacks can go for 20-30 gold a pop on the AH, or in trade if you don't have the silver for the posting fees. So the same character could in fact make between 120 and 200 gold in those same 2 hours, and level some, if they farm materials rather than mess with the character creation clothes.
Though, I will say that I have sold the Blood Elf shirt before, since it's kind of a unique pattern, so if you were sending blood elf clothes you might make some gold on the AH. They won't sell nearly as fast as the herbs or ore, though, so having more than 2-3 up at a time seems like a waste. But what you're suggesting, which is to send the least valuable items in the game to someone to vendor, seems like the slowest possible way to get a gold that I can think of.

Aye, if you are going to do this, at least do it with a DK, since you can get about 40 gold or so by the end of the starting zone.

I'm pretty sure this was meant to be a joke, but it's not very funny.

Sadly, I don't think it was.
I still remember my first week or so in the game, and without prior knowledge of WoW, or any MMO for that matter, making 1 gold in an hour would have seemed like a fortune. I recall running around Trisfall, mining copper, and how excited I was when I had made 10g. Heck, with all that gold, I was able to buy some really sweet gear from the vendors in UC....I was geared as hell. (note the sarcasm there)
So, to the OP. While your idea may seem like a great one, there are many, many better ways of getting started on your way to WoW financial security. As mentioned, the best way for a brand new player to get some gold rolling in, is pick up mining and herbing, and AH everything you can gather. You will earn more than you can imagine right now, because crafting mats are very high on most servers right now.
And, spend plenty of time here absorbing information, it will make your new experience in the game soo much better.

I hear that vendors pay the best prices for your mats.

This seriously sounds like the advice people used to give on Runescape where one vendors cooked meat and makes 300gp an hour.
Hahaha...

Would be better to sell those starting clothes (shirt, anyways) in trade.. some of them are unique and pretty awesome (I personally like the Draenei starter shirts). Even that would probably be pretty terrible though, since most people probably don't care about their shirts.

... after an hour of questing.
And? Since as someone else mentioned, you don't even get the 30 copper needed for the mail payment by doing this.
