Lets speculate and guess, expansion after MoP?

I know MoP is coming and all is hyper -exited about that, and anything beyond is way ahead in the future. But lets speculate and fabulate a bit, never mind if speculations run wild or downright silly. What comes after MoP?
I think that the expansion after MoP will be another bout with the Burning Legion.
"Assault of Sargeras" (cheesy name, i know) where we yet again wander through a dark portal into a brand new world where we fight the legion yet again. Besides the new world, and parts of Outlands - maybe a raid and some 5man gets updated to suit 90-95 content.
Introducing 4(!) new playeable races. Broken Dranei (which is basically dranei but with different models) and high elves (blood elves with different eye-color and lore) for Alliance and Ogres and Kobolds for the Horde. (Making a clan of kobolds part of the Horde is easy, do Stonetalon quests and see).
My guess is perhaps not as good as yours, what is your guess?

I doubt they'd have two races per faction. In fact, they might hold off on making more races at all. They already have quite a few.

The Great Sea expansion is probably next, where Queen Massive $%^& attacks, and we reconnect with Kul Tiras.

I think it very much depends on how MoP does.
If MoP does well, and manages to keep subs up after another 2 years, than, honestly, there are multiple possibilities for the next x-pac.
If MoP is a FloP, then my guess would be Blizz would pull out all the stops, and go with The Emerald Dream (which has been the most asked for expansion), and / or Sargeras. I could see them rolling the 2 together into one, final, super-expansion. This would be the best fitting "end" for WoW.
I have to put "end" in quotes there, because I do believe that WoW will live on for quite some time, in some fashion. Be it through smaller, less "epic" expansions, or just through DLC. I really think the timing is going to depend on how MoP does in the long term.
Personally, I think we have, at best, 2 more expansions, and as I said, those almost have to be The Emerald Dream, and the finale with the Burning Legion. At that point, it really is time for "WoW 2". Something with modern graphics, and new lore. A new story to captivate a new generation of players.

and as I said, those almost have to be The Emerald DreamSince they cleaned up the major issues of the Emerald Dream as of the book Stormrage, I doubt we'll see an entire expansion planned around the Dream....since you know, the Dream is just Azeroth if the Sundering never happened and the mortal races never appeared.
At that point, it really is time for "WoW 2". Something with modern graphics, and new lore. A new story to captivate a new generation of players. They don't actually need to do a WoW 2; they can just keep building on the world we already know, and steadily increase the graphics as time goes on, like how they have already been doing. Besides if they make a WoW 2, are they going to allow us to transfer all of our character over to it? Because honestly, for all that I have altholism and do start over on servers fairly regularly, I'd rather not have to do it all over again with the same license.

The game engine could use a bit of an update though. ;o

Given the fact I would not have guessed the content and flavor of MoP in a million years I wouldnt even hazard a guess other then to say it will likely be something completely unexpected.

Next expansion: GM Island!

That's still, like, ten times more interesting than Pandaria sounded before the expac. (And even after, imo)

Definitely Legion world(s, each their own "zone"?) including some that are still defended by their inhabitants (starter zones)
In fact, they might hold off on making more races at all. They already have quite a few.
Races are far easier to add, esp. if they start on foreign worlds.

Here are my guesses
Never again.
I think BC and WOTLK were easy to predict. Cata and MOP were out of nowhere. I also predicted after DKs that they would never add another class because of the balancing issues and difficulty coming up with new resource mechanisms that are interesting. I also said monks would never happen because they wouldn´t want to make another gear type (cloth with AGI or STR).
So since I have been so accurate before. I am guessing a new class based on Mail gear. DPS and healer spec that uses INT and a tank spec that uses AGI gear.

Maybe they'll go nuts and add a third faction and make legion playable. They were going to include demonic engineering at one point... Or maybe have dragonkin as one of the races. Or add some crazy feature where you can group quest with your alts and command them like pets. It could be like Secret of Mana.

We still have to deal with N'Zoth and Aszhara.

It really is time for "WoW 2"
That's what Cataclysm should have been. Making old content totally unavailable for new players like that was a bit of a &*!@head move.

The Army of Light and the final confrontation with Kil'Jaeden.
The Naaru will see after the death of Garrosh that the Alliance and the Horde are finally ready to work together and they'll send everyone across he Twisting Nether to take the fight to Sargeras and the Burning Legion, to end it once and for all. They'll go back to the 10-level expansion and roll in Kul'Tiras and the rest of the Great Sea as a staging area before the expansion releases, saying that Azshara has reconnected with Sargeras and we have to take her out first before going to them(if they don't do this in MoP with some other plotline).
Blizzard being a gaming company, they won't completely destroy the evil faction, so they'll let Sargeras live and we'll kill Kil'Jaeden, his last-remaining general. If we fight Sargeras at all, it'll be an avatar of him like Aegwynn fought. After Kil'Jaeden dies, we're all level 100, and the Alliance and the Horde go back to hating the #$%^ out of each other, it's time for WarCraft 4.
Also, they'll probably add another hero class. Leaving it at 1 doesn't seem like a possibility to me.

I read this thread yesterday, and instead of posting a response, I let it percolate. Last night, I had a great idea:
With every expansion, Blizzard comes up with a whole crapload of yummy stuff that they want to do, but most of the gameplay improvements don't make the cut because the devs are too busy making content. Once MoP hits, the level cap will end in a "0" again for the first time since 2010, and profession level caps will end in "00" again for the first time since Classic. This is the perfect time to reverse priorities. The expansion after MoP should add no new content aside from maybe a revamp of BC zones, and focus on improved gameplay instead.
So it would be like... I dunno... "Cataclysm 2"
