Ideal reporting method for new/corrected information?

Though a heavy user of Wowhead, I'm posting for the first time and I want to make sure I'm both following rules and being most effective. The Forum guide says that you can post new information as a comment or in the Feedback forum. The Feedback forum guidelines (and most posts) seem to lean toward the feedback forum being primarily for site bugs and problems as opposed to erroneous db data.
Which is the preferred method by site owners for reporting db errors? Or do I just run the Wowhead client and assume it will all work out eventually?
Thank you for any guidance.

If an individual page has an error on it that you suspect won't get fixed by a new data push you can use the Feedback link on the top right to point it out. It'll save the current page URL in the report and let you specify a reason, link an additional URL if related and you can write a description of the error in the report.

Thanks for Posting Towanda.
You basically have 3 paths you can take.
Report any page or comment
Use the report button where ever you see it, and like Izichial said, the report and the page will come to us.
This is usually the best way to handle small things, or inappropriate things that need to be changed quick.
Post here in Feedback
Posting in Feedback is a little more open ended. If you have ideas about how to better the site, if you see multiple common errors, or something that you think would require time to fix.
As this topic points out though, it really is open to anything.
Mail
Send us an email. We have one particular person that checks these daily, but depending on the content he forwards them along to the people that need to address whatever issue you are reporting.
If it's not something that requires an immediate answer, I would also request that you be a bit patient. We have lots of reports and emails to deal with daily, and we always triage accordingly.
If you want to keep this forum post open as a line of communication that's fine too. Tell us what's on your mind.
Cheers,
Hat

Thank you for the very well written response!
An example of the kind of thing I wanted to report is
http://www.wowhead.com/item=43362
. This item ID has been recycled by Blizz and is now Live. However, it is tagged as not available to players since it never made it to game when Blizz first designed it. I'm assuming it is the "Not Available" status that is keeping it from appearing in the full glyph list at
http://www.wowhead.com/items=16
.
However,
zzOLD Glyph of the Bear Cub
does appear instead and is not the glyph that ended up on Live.
I have included the www links but the mop db is the same.
As a glyph geek updating her own personal analysis tools I've found a handful of issues like this in the last couple days and I wanted to help get things fixed on your end. So I guess its "reported" now <grin> but that's the kind of quick info thing I'd like to report when I find them. I'm assuming that's helpful.
So is that feedback or a bug?
Edited: Because I'm a little OCD and I found the button.

^ You all saw it! Someone said I have good writing skills! lol moving on......
So is that feedback or a bug?
It's not so much a bug as it is a small downside to the way Wowhead populates and updates data. It's definitely feedback though.

I really like the Wowhead forums. I think the the BBCode that we use is clean and efficient. The edit button can help you not only format stuff to make things look better, but help you and us work through your feedback.
Keep posting in this thread. Use some formatting like you have, make a list of things you see that need to be changed, and it will happen eventually. There were tons of changes like this when Cata came out, and there are tons more now that so much has changed in talents, spells, and abilities. Our staff is busy with their own projects, but small things like this are always added to a list and usually address with future data pushes.
If we don't know about them though, they won't get changed, so go crazy. Make one post, and keep editing it if you fine more.
Cheers,
Hat

Just wanted to drop by (as one of the 2 people who does the LUA work on the site, which your feedback falls under) and thank you for the report. If you find more issues, just list them here. We will be doing a huge push in 2-3 weeks so every reported issue will be fixed--the way the DB works is we have to push all fixes to it, so we do them all at once, and our next big one will be the week MoP is released :)(##RESPBREAK##)2##DELIM##Ashelia##DELIM##
