You don't really need people to agree with you, the argument is pretty easily made and its not a matter of "how many want it" that will get it done, its a matter of presenting a convincing argument (in your case you present the rare-tames as something they have added for us, and those that have done so haven't got room for any more), and having them agree.
If you made the post in the beta classes forum part instead of the general discussion, there might be a better chance that it gets picked up - asking for a blue response is kind of moot though, they read everything (well someone does, and reports back and it is then discussed or dismissed and possibly implemented (or not))

I'd like another page. I am at full capacity, and while there are probably 3-4 I wouldn't mind deleting, I'd prefer not to have to give up rare spawns.

I think I might start farming tears, then showing a 24-slot bag of them to Blizzard with a note saying
"Give us more stable slots, or this is gonna happen."

Unfortunately I have had to release some pets into the wild because I ran out of space. With so many spirit beasts to collect, it currently doesn't give you alot of room for rares. It is still better then when we had only 3 slots.
You have tons of space for weapons, non combat pets, and mounts. Why are Hunter pets restricted? I cannot find any logic to it.

It probably takes up a lot more data space overall. There are "hard" limits on the number of mounts and companion pets (and to be honest they're also a lot easier to make as they require small data implementations from a programming perspective).

I wonder if they thought about redesigning hunter pets, so it'd have an interface similar to mounts or pets. You can change pet names, so that's already coded, right?

They never limited it, they've expanded it, back in the day we had 3 slots and had 2 more purchasable, its been expanded ever since.
The reason its not unlimited is that untill MoP there has been not technical solution that we could point to and say "it doesn't waste memory/storage space". Now we can point to the battle pet system - apart from that being account wide. They have different skins, they have different talent setups and they can have individual names. Its just a matter of having a convincing argument as to why we should get this (other than "we want it").

I think that initially it was memory. Each hunter pet had (at first) a set of trained abilities that you had paid for them to have, and if you tamed elite pets they retained enhanced stats, and the computer had to store each pet's model, stats and spec information. Later on, they gave the pets talent trees and normalized the stats, meaning that each pet required less unique information. Once they had that system in place, they expanded the stable slots to 25 (about 5 times what we originally had) presumably because it meant less data stored per pet.
With the changes in MoP, there is now no such thing as a pet talent tree. Pets are all nearly the same except for their family ability or abilities, and all you have to do is switch between the specs with a single button. Because of this, it seems that the only really unique data we have for each pet is the particular skin used and the name given. Because of that, I'd like to think that they could create a new Hunter pet interface that allows us to store every skin, similar to the mini-pet system. However, that's a lot of work to put into a mini-game that only one class has access to.
Based on how hunter pets were initially implemented, the amount of data they would have needed to store in order to give us unlimited pets would have been absurd, and I would not have expected them to do it. Once they had streamlined some, they opened it up quite a bit more, but again unlimited space- with the number of possible skins in the game (and there are hundreds) would still be a lot of memory for just one feature of one class. While I imagine that with the newest changes to the pet abilities, it would be totally doable to make a system similar to the Battle Pet system for hunter pets, and allow us to have hundreds of skins, that seems like a LOT of work for a mini-game that only one class has access to.
With the hundreds of skins available, I don't think unlimited pet slots is an option. I do think that with the number of unique and rare pet skins they keep adding, I'd like to see them add maybe 5-10 more, though.(##RESPBREAK##)8##DELIM##ElhonnaDS##DELIM##

'(admittedly a less desirable tame than my current babies)'
Finally! Another hunter who calls them 'babies'! I've gotten so much ribbing for this from others, even other hunters.
How on earth can Blizzard not understand how attached many hunters get to their 'babies' and how fond we are of them? This should have been implemented long ago. I still have my first tame and I will never abandon her. My stable is full and I'm so tired of having to choose which wonderful pet I have to give up in order to add a new one. It's not fair. I rolled a hunter in the beginning just because they got to have animal combat companions and there are so many to love. Adding new pets all the time without giving us a way to keep them was just wrong. /rant
Actually, I think I could be happy with 100 slots. I'm just sayin'.
