Bar lag from Shadow Dance/stealth

I am noticing, the better and faster that I get at Sub, that bar lag is a serious issue. It's lagging by up to a full second. THis means, I shadowstep, Shadow Dance, then stand there doing absolutely nothing for 1+ seconds. That's pretty considerable.
Is there any way to turn off the action bar change? If I had it my way, i woudl prefer to set up my bar using macros based on stances. I did that on my druid all through BC and it was actually much faster than bar changing.
How do you deal with it?

Exactly the way you proposed; macros.

Is there a way to disable the action bar from flipping too? Because I have been using my action bar set up like this for over 4 years now and would hate to try to relearn a new set up.

Are you using an addon to handle your action bars? If not, then I'm afraid you're out of luck, because as far as I know, you cannot stop the action bars from swapping upon stance change in the default UI.

No add ons for the bars. I think I will be doing that though. Any suggestions on an add on?

I downloaded bartender and disabled the page turning for Shadowdance, then simply wrote the macros, converting a few of my other combo builders.
MUCH faster and better.

You're doing it wrong... you should ambush, shadostep, ambush spam. This way, your 2nd ambush will benefit from both the Find Weakness AND the shadowstep buff, making its crit value much more meaningful for the T12 2 piece bonus' rolling ignite.
If you're not rolling with T12 2 piece, then it doesn't matter much anyway.
And OT, yes, stance macros work better than waiting for the bar to change.
