Hello!
I was hoping for some insight on how to farm gold. I'm very in tune with the game's economy, but lately... I feel left out. I have two main professions-- Inscription and Jewlcrafting. Inscription is doing horribly on my server; one can hope to sell one Glyph a week. I'm saving my Glyphs for when MoP comes. Jewlcrafting... It -was- doing well, but now the profits just simply aren't enough. Blue gems hardly sell for 20-30g, with the exception of the Inferno Ruby. Which, when cut, sells for 100-230g on my server. Not enough due to the rarity of it (I do save all of my Carnelians and Inferno Rubies from raiding DS however for this).
I'm looking forward to solo'ing more content later; I know bosses in Tempest Keep can drop 300g, BT 200g each with mobs having 1g each (I can solo every BT boss but Reliquary, which I refuse to). But... There must be a better way to make gold than this... Right?
I remember at one point having 30,000 gold. I gave about 10,000 away, and still had 20,000. I was able to keep that up... But now, I have less than 3,000, and it's decreasing every week. What am I supposed to do? I know a lot of the reduction came from putting in all epic gems on my main, but... But there's got to be a way to make gold still-- at a reliable pace...
I heard Nightmare Tears (the +all stats gem from Wrath) are still selling for massive amounts... Is this true; can anyone confirm this? What else is there to do?
I look forward to any insight you can give me. Thank you!

On a lot of servers, the low level mats for various professions actually sell for fairly high prices, because most people don't want to put in the time to farm them. I know you said you have two crafting professions, and both of those can have large payouts if people are buying, but farming professions are purely profit (no paying to buy the mats!). Perhaps you could use an alt (grab a Death Knight if you don't have a higher level alt so you can skip past a fair amount of leveling) to farm materials so that you don't have to lose the other professions.
Lower level raids are other good ways to grind for money - not only the loot from bosses being entirely yours and not split into 10-25 shares, but also the greens can be sold for transmog!
Another option is to do the Molten Front daily quests, since the payout per quest is fairly high and minimal damage means the money goes into your pocket and not right back out to pay for repairs.

I'm still making pretty good money with JC on my server by flipping the new gems, but you have to dailies to get those cuts.
I also do pretty well cooking and selling raid food. The profits are small, but the sheer quantity of the sales can add up.

Wool cloth still sells fairly well on my server. About 20g per stack and it drops at a fairly decent rate in Shadowfang Keep and The Deadmines. Some say The Stockades drop it well but I've always had better luck with the first two.

Grap a
Potion
and
MS
away Trog packs in Western
Deepholm
.
Every server is different, but on mine after an hour I get about:
100-120
BoEC
, which sell for about 500g/stack
20 greens which I AH for 30g for armor, 95g for weapons (they always sell)
Sometimes you get a random
Design
.
You will get about a stack of random Volatile's and Ores ext from the
treasure chests
.
If you don't have Tailoring you wont get quite as much cloth, but you should expect to make about 2-3.5k/hr.
This sounds amazing! I'll have to try this. I'm not a Tailor, but that's still amazing.

Raid food is a maybe... The epic gems, unfortunately, just aren't selling on Silver Hand (which is kinda sad).

This was the case for mine too; I'll check it out. Deepholm sounds better though, but still... Worth looking into!
