This thread feels like seeing someone step in front of a train but knowing it's too late to stop what happens next; but I'll try:
It doesn't matter. Weapon damage and speed carry through to form in a "normalized" fashion, meaning that a polearm and a staff of the same item level with the same stats act identical when in feral form.

That is hard to figure out though since a decent bit of math is required to tell the difference from the polearm to staff due to the occasional polearm proc.
my question though is, which is better as a feral dps, the LFR Kiril or the normal DS staff? i believe the staff has more wpn dmg but im pretty sure it is really minor, so which is better?
edit: after doing a quick comparison.
The dps is better on the staff, spire of coagulated flames or whatever. You get 71 agi with an epic gem. and the secondaries.
The polearm however has its proc and would require me to do too much math for me to care to figure out the average agility gained by the proc.
The polearm also has a much higher weapon damage but slower speed, so meelee hits go slower, but doesn't weapon damage affect all of our abilities? In this case wouldnt this make Kiril much better for dps as ferals even at LFR level compared to the normal staff?

if u got lfr polerarm and normal yor sahj staff u can always weapon swich when agility proc ends :)
This is a terrible idea to do throughout a fight. Switching weapons causes a GCD, and the Kiril has a 60s internal cooldown thats starts when you equip it. You can, however do this at the very beginning of the fight. Start with kiril equipped then switch to spire after agility buff
starts
, but is usually more trouble than it's worth for most players.
As for cat dps, whichever weapon you have that has the higher item level (and therefore weapon DPS) is going to win. Weapon DPS is by far the largest factor in cat dps. Therefore, for cats, the priority would be:
Heroic Kiril > Heroic Spire > N Kiril > N Spire > LFR Kiril > LFR Spire

I prefer the heroic staff because of the assload of mastery (for cat). I have them all and dps tested them, that one just works best for the way I play.

I don't play incorrect? Everyone has their own stats they prioritize so don't tell me I'm wrong if what I'm doing works for me. Show some respect for non-cookie cutter ways of playing.
I can also show you hundreds of players that prefer to use a bunch of mastery as well as a bunch of guides that recommend it for increased bleed damage.

It's not piss poor advice- go look at other guides and quit trolling for two seconds. From looking at your other posts you enjoy trolling and that and putting others down seems to be what you're good at.

foley is being extremely generous for my tastes. I tend to spend much less effort on people who say sub-optimal setups are fine.
