I have little to no interest in Diablo 3. They lost me on that game when they put in the silly DRM idea of needing to be logged in to battle.net to play a single player game.
It won't hurt you to say "Darker is right"... too much.
Darker, you are right that
you feel
that the DRM management of this game makes it not appealing
to you.
Unless you change your mind and end up buying the game. Then you will be wrong. But, you'll need to let us know about that later.

How does
This
not mean that you will be able to play as soon as they announce that beta servers have gone live?
What exactly is it that we have already gotten access to?
You have gotten access to the line to beta.
Disney land opens its doors at 7am. Unless your first in the line, you're still not going to get to ride the rides until 7:30.
This is not a trivial thing. Getting access to a blizzard beta is hard, or dumb luck. Players with poor system specs rarely get in. Annual Pass now gets you in! That's HUGE.

Thats not what they said, they said beta, not "queue for beta" what you are saying is untrue to the contract I signed, I remind you once again, they did change the contract and if you look at opening post I have sources indicating what was actually said when most of us signed up.
If you got a pre-booked ticket, you most likely bought it to get in quicker to disney land instead of having to queue to buy your tickets.
We pre-booked MoP beta, why do we have to wait in the ticket sales line?

Because more people got the Pass then they expected, forcing them to change the qualifications for how people get into Beta. Again though: You are going to get into Beta, and if you don't get in the first two weeks....that's not a massive thing. For the last 3 days on Beta, a lot of people couldn't do anything because gathering quests were bugged, making finishing off the Jade Forest impossible.
Just stay calm, you'll get in, and if you end up in a queue to enter the server, don't start in on complaining then, since there are a lot of people just like you who want to experience it...sadly though, not enough people from the AP are acting like real Beta testers and reporting bugs(as seen last night when some idiots exploited a bug with Chi Wave to slaughter every essential NPC in Stormwind).

You don't have to. Everyone has a ticket. It's just that the line to get in with your ticket is extremely long, and you won't get in for a while.

Mike Morhaime:
"You will also get guarantied access into the next World of Warcraft expansion beta when it goes live"
I have a feeling the whole notion of betrayal that some people feel would never have been an issue if the above quote was:
"You will also get guaranteed access into the next World of Warcraft expansion beta AFTER it goes live."
According to the events surrounding this issue, "AFTER" is exactly what Morhaime should have said. Unfortunately for Blizzard and the players who took him at his word (for shame!), he chose to use the word "WHEN," which implies something entirely different.
It was a flub, clear and simple. Some people feel cheated because they took Morhaime at his word and now when they voice their displeasure, they have to deal with people calling them whiners.

You are admitting blizzard made a mistake and you are admitting that they should have formulated the sentence better, now maybe you could understand why we are unhappy about it, which was the whole point of this thread.'

But blizzard said that with my ticket I was gonna get in when they opened, which was the whole point that I bought the ticket ( taking out diablo and the mount )
If I bought a pre-booked ticket for disney and still had to wait very long, don't I have the right to be annoyed or angry?

And with a giant red flag being waved by Admiral Ackbar while he was screaming "IT'S A TRAP!"
People still stepped in it.
How was this a trap?
I will get Diablo 3 as promised,
I have gotten the mount as promised,
and I will eventually get access to Beta as promised.
I am not paying any more for my sub fees than I would have done anyway.
I fail to see where the 'trap' in all this was.

I've already admitted that Blizzard worded the Pass wrong; did that a few pages ago. But the fact is: You will get into Beta. That is not going to change. You will get into Beta long before the Opters get in, as the AP sends you to the front of that queue. But you do have to wait in the line, till your number is called; yes, it would have been nice a month after the Pass was released for them to say 'Yeah, we have more people then we thought we would get, so we are working on a new way to get people in'....but you'd still have people unhappy even if Blizzard kept them all abreast from the beginning: Because of the simple fact people think they should be in first.
Honestly, I think Blizzard should change the Beta access around; if people who are on the AP aren't reporting bugs or actually acting like a Beta Tester, they should be removed, since all they are doing is playing sight seer. Really, easiest way to figure out if someone has no idea what they are doing, is that they ask "Can we get to 90 now?" "Are the Pandaren mounts in game?" "Is all of Pandaria open?"; anyone who says any of those are obviously people who didn't look up the latest patch information. Hell, Blizzard has even made it easier and put Developers Notes in people's ability tab...and you still see those questions.
If I bought a pre-booked ticket for disney and still had to wait very long, don't I have the right to be annoyed or angry? No, you don't; especially if you showed up 5 hours after the Park opened when your ticket told you to be there at opening.
Edit: Actually, think of it this way: Say they had kept it that all 1 million AP subs ended up going into Beta on the first day....and watch it crash, crash crash crash with massively huge queues: Would you be here or on the Official Forums complaining about that, saying the same things you've been saying here?

People have the right to think that they should get in first, because that is what blizzard told them, nothing else but that they would get in at the same time as
everyone
else.

That makes absolutely no sense at all, stepping away from the disney example.
How can
I
be late when
blizzard
is supposed to send me an email?

You are not in the regular ticket sales line where there is chance you might not get access at all. You are in the pre-booked ticket line where you are guaranteed access. That's the difference.
I do still agree that Blizz could've stated things clearer. I just don't think it's enough of an issue to make me upset. Maybe I just don't take computer games serious enough? /shrug
But blizzard never said anything about waiting, they said, when I get there im gonna get in.
They
never
said anything else at the time I signed the contract.

This really goes down to how a person read it and how their mind interprets it.

Now we took a step back, I thought we had already cleared out that they did tell us we would get beta access when it goes live, what made you change your mind now?
That also has nothing to do with what you said about being 5 hours late, which I still would want you to explain.

Blizzard can handle expansion releases, i am sure that strains alot on their servers, I don't see them saying that if you buy the new expansion you get access to waiting in a queue.

There are 2 sides to this debate. There is a clear frustration that people who bought Annual Pass and still have not gotton to play the beta have. While there may be a disagreement in the intensity of the problem, or if blizzard is malicious or to blame, this disagreement of thoughts is no reason to post such a tasteless sentence. Debate your points, prove your thoughts. Telling a person to to shove off because there is nothing they can do about it is counter productive at best. I would be embarrassed.

Now we took a step back, I thought we had already cleared out that they did tell us we would get beta access when it goes live, what made you change your mind now?No, I said Blizzard worded it wrong; but unlike a lot of people apparently, I never expected to be in Beta first, because I read the revised criteria when it was released; the thing about when you signed up for WoW, how long you have been playing without any sub breaks, and when you purchased the Pass.
That also has nothing to do with what you said about being 5 hours late, which I still would want you to explain.Refer to the above, since showing up 5 hours late with a ticket that gets you to the front of the queue means you'd have a bit of wait.

LOL! Right; the fact that the Beta servers routinely crash right now, or seeing your prime comp chug like hell when there are 1500 pandas on your screen, all trying to click the same object...yeah, right. Also; you do buy a new expansion, you are on a high pop server, you are usually waiting in queue....logic? But because you misinterpreted the wording, I guess you are in the right.

No, I can't do anything to convince you, because you neither listen or have any valid arguments to prove your point. Calling me a whiner isn't your winning argument, I can promise you that.

Again, how can I be late if blizzard is supposed to send me an email? I can't, but they can, because they are the ones supposed to act, im just waiting.
I never saw a single post before the beta about anyone saying that it wsn't beta access when it goes live.
That only proves to me that most of the 1 million thought it was perfectly clear that you would get access when it goes live.
If you knew that they coulden't invite everyone at the same time because the servers would crash, don't you think blizzard knew that too?
They most likely did, so why where they so, according to you, unclear about the specific time you would get in.
That is what we who didn't get in when we where promised think is wrong and that is why we are making posts about it, we are not whining as Iankybrit ( who have missed the whole threads purpose ) thinks, we are just proving our point that blizzard was wrong and that we are dissapointed in them.
Blizzard can handle expansion releases, i am sure that strains alot on their servers, I don't see them saying that if you buy the new expansion you get access to waiting in a queue.
I commented on this in my first reply, on the very first page of this thread. You dismissed my response as "not reading your post."
As far as I am aware, there are currently only four (4) beta servers that are accessible.
In comparison to when a new expansion hits all live servers, there are 200+ realms in the North American region alone.
4 vs 200.
I'm not sure what's so hard to understand about Blizzard's change of tactics in getting everyone into the beta. They didn't swindle you by completely taking your beta opportunity away. It just wasn't feasible to have a functional beta if your servers are constantly crashing, which is why the method of sending invitations in waves (and eventually getting everyone) made more sense.
If blizzard know that 200 realms for around 5 million people just barely is enough.
If blizzard knows that AP would be a great deal attracting many.
Why do they only put up 4 realms?
Woulden't they have thought that 200 for 5 million is very much more than 4 for 1 million?
They probably would have, but they still made a promise that everyone would get access when beta went live.
Maybe they misscalculated and we should have magically figured out by ourself that it woulden't work, what makes them right and us wrong?
